Message from The PresidentGeneration 14.15

Edna KaviMember Committee President 14.15

AIESEC in Ethiopia

“I have unfinished business, I still have the potential to grow and lead to become the better version of myself. This entity still has a big potential that is still not fully utilized. Leadership and youth development matters to me and it is the solution to the Ethiopian community and Africa as a whole. This can be done through empow-ering young people through AIESEC in Ethiopia.” This was the thoughts that run through my mind and drove me to take the bold step to become the MCP of AIESEC in Ethiopia for the 14.15 term.

It has been indeed great so far; leading a generation of young people in AIESEC in Ethiopia who are ready to bring change, explore and challenge themselves to make positive impact.

Being an MCP in AIESEC in Ethiopia has been an eye opener for the past four months of my term and will remain an unforgettable journey of learning, challenges and happiness. Through this experience, I have learnt to be a good listener, a strategic thinker, a crisis manager and most of all, a team player. I have learnt to work in a diverse culture as an international MCP, and most of all the challenges I faced have made me stronger and moulded me to be more of a positive thinker and an action oriented leader. Managing a national team and also the LCP team has enabled me to improve dramatically in team management and driving the change I wanted to see in AIESEC in Ethiopia

Today, I am privileged to open the application for MCP 15.16 of AIESEC in Ethiopia. To my successor, I CHALLENGE you to take up this mantle of leadership. If you want to have a unique and life changing expe-rience, an experience that will build you to become the best version of yourself, the becoming MCP 15.16 of AIESEC in Ethiopia is the role to take.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our Deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond imagination.” What do you envision for AIESEC in Ethiopia? What change do you want to see? How will this experience enable your future aspirations? What kind of impact do you want to drive to make Ethiopia a better place for all?

These are some of the questions you should ask yourself and find answers to. Your answers will give you a clear-er reason and drive why you should take up this bold step.

Stay true to yourself.

A year ago, I downloaded this application and said to my-self, “It is a done deal. I’ve got this!” Now it’s your turn to take this opportunity and say to yourself, “It is a done deal. I’ve got this!”

I wish you all the best in your application and selection process. It is not an easy journey, but I assure you, it most definitely is worth it!

All the BEST.
