Dear Candidate,

On behalf of AIESEC in Portugal, I am thrilled and proud of releasing the application for

Member Committee President of AIESEC in Portugal 2015-2016. By reading this, I reckon

that you are considering applying and I can support this from the bottom of my heart.

Its never easy to take a decision. The decision to apply to MCP of Portugal is a decision that

will change you. For me, this decision is bigger than you. Being MCP of Portugal is about

changing a nation, its about servicing a whole organisation and giving your mind and heart to

provide more and better life changing experiences to the youth and organisations of Portugal.

Being MCP is an experience like no other. This is the only single position in the whole

network where you can have an impact in the youth of your country while at the same time

contributing to shape the global strategy and global impact of AIESEC. As MCP 15-16 you

will have the privilege to lead the network towards 2015 achievement and enable it to unleash

our potential for 2020.

The process to become MCP of Portugal was built to make you reflect on who you are, what

you stand for and bring out the best in you. Whatever the result, you will become a better and

stronger person.

I wish you all the best of luck with your candidacy and for further questions you might have,

feel free to contact me, my MC or the national/international network.

1. Who are you and why are you standing for MCP 15-16 of AIESEC in Portugal?

2. What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses as a leader and how will they affect your

term as MCP?

3. What is the relevance of youth leadership in the Portuguese society? How would you make

AIESEC known for being the “youth leadership provider of the World”?

4. What is the leadership that should describe your team? How would you ensure it and what

kind of leader would you need to be?

5. Design a SWOT analysis of the organisation for a) AIESEC in Portugal and b) AIESEC

globally.

6. Globally, how do you see the organisation dealing simultaneously with AIESEC 2015

achievement and AIESEC 2020 creation? What are the main challenges and strategies that

you have for that? How to make sure that we will achieve 2015 in AIESEC in Portugal and be

ready for 2020? Where do you see AIESEC in 2020?

7. Nowadays, we talk a lot about behaviours and how much they matter for our leadership

development. How do you see the evolution of this matter on the network? Among the 3

behaviours (Purposeful, Collaborative and Action-Oriented), which one do you see lacks the

most in AIESEC in Portugal? Why?

8. Its been shown globally that the countries that have grown exponentially have only done so

by establishing strong exchange partnerships with other AIESEC entities (e.g.: Brazil-

Colombia, Argentina-Brazil, Italy-Egypt, etc.). What can AIESEC in Portugal learn from these

countries and what should be the next steps in building a solid partnership for collaborative

growth? What should be the role of the MC and LCs in driving such partnership?

9. AIESEC in Portugal lost its global membership in February 2013, in IPM Serbia. So

far we were still not able to recover it and the only criteria missing is to have an

external unqualified audit. What are the actions you will take to ensure we recover

our global membership rights the latest by 2016?

10.What will AIESEC in Portugal remember about the 15-16 term? Describe which will

be the key milestones you commit to strive for during the next term. Please include

but do not limit yourself to organisational goals.

11.What are the next steps for the network development path? Consider OD growth

model, expansion, conferences and the local structure.

12.What will be the changes that will leverage the volume of AIESEC in Portugal ELD

realisations during the 15-16 term? How are those connected with the value to the

member, to the external environment and to the organisation?

13.What are top 3 strategies to make sure that all our programs (GIP, GCDP, TMP,

TLP) grow both in #RE/#Completed as well as NPS.

14.How will you work together with the National Council to fulfil the potential of AIESEC

in Portugal?

15.Part of being MCP is story-telling. Imagine that you are in front of the National

Plenary, which story from your leadership journey would you share with the plenary

to make them engaged to achieve a common purpose higher than ever before?

Please write your story here like if you were talking to your audience.
