Hey AIESEC! AIESEC in UUM has recently set sail our very first Recruitment Drive (RD) for the term 2012/2013 in UUM. This RD was held for 3 days, from 10th until 13rd October 2012. Something new in this recruitment as we were setting up 2 booths in 2 different locations, DKG 1 and DKG 5. Management Team (MT) members of AIESEC in UUM were trying their very best to introduce AIESEC to every student in UUM during the recruitment drive. We are proud to say that, there were more than 500 students interested and signed up for our Introduction Day to know more about AIESEC! At last, we would like to thanks our Management Team of AIESEC in UUM 2012/2013 for the success of this event. We are proud to be an AIESECer!

Introduction Day
Introduction Day is an induction organized by AIESEC in UUM to let the new‐bies to understand in depth about AIESEC as they were started to engage with AIESEC and joined us as members. AIESEC in UUM had carried out twice Introduction Day, once was on 17th while another was on 18th of September 2012, at DKG 4, Seminar Hall. There were 200 students participated in both of our Introduction Day. We introduced them about AIESEC, our 4 programmes which are Team Member Programme (TMP), Team Leader Programme (TLP), Global Community Development Programme (GCDP) as well as Global Internship Programme (GIP). Besides, we had a session carried out by our baby alumnus ‐ Nick Chang Mun Keat, to share his AIESEC Experience to all the newbies! After the Introduction Day, we proceeded with group assessment for newbies, in order for them to become an AIESECer. There were 185 students, signed up to become our new members! All the best everyone!

Global Exhibition
AIESEC in UUM was having our very first Global Exhibition in this new term organ‐ized by Cultural Understanding Through Exchange (C.U.T.E.) project. This exhibi‐tion was held on 19th and 20th September 2012 at Foyer Library, Universiti Utara Malaysia. We attracted more than 7 countries such as Japan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Jordan, Thailand, Egypt and Malaysia to participate in this exhibition. Each country was given a booth to display and deliver their countries’ cultures, traditional costumes and traditional games. Interns were happily present and explained about their traditions to students. More than 200 students participated in this exhibition to experience and explore the culture diversities in one place.

Study Tour From Japan
It is an honour of AIESEC in UUM to receive a study tour of AIESEC in Shiga, from AIESEC Japan to visit Universiti Utara Malaysia on 18th until 21st September 2012. The objective of the Study Tour is to discuss the exchange partnership collaboration between AIESEC in Shiga and AIESEC in UUM. After the discussion, AIESEC in UUM agrees the collabora‐tion with AIESEC in Shiga by sending Exchange Participants to AIESEC in Shiga for internship as well as receiving interns from AIESEC in Shiga to participate in our Global Commu‐nity Development Programme (GCDP) in UUM.

Group Assessment
Hey AIESEC! AIESEC in UUM was having our very first Group Assessment on 23th and followed on 24th September 2012, at PKP, Universiti Utara Malaysia. The objective of this assessment is to assess the competencies and mindsets of indi‐viduals who are interested to become members of AIESEC. Through this assessment, we had prepared two games for the newbies, ‘Build an Office’ and ‘AIESEC Game’. ‘Build an Office’ was to bring a message that communication plays an important role in a team. The purpose of playing this game is to assess the members in a group whether they can deliver message clearly by using non‐verbal communication while verbal communication was prohibited. Besides, they had to focus on util‐izing and managing the limited resources to build up an office. ‘AIESEC Game’, on the other hand, was to bring out a message that co‐operation from every member and department is vital in order to run a Local Committee successfully. After the Group Assessment, newbies proceeded with an Individual Assessment in order to participate in the Team Member Programme (TMP). All the best everyone!

Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)
AIESEC in UUM convened its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 25th of September 2012, at DKG 4, Seminar Hall. There were two candidates applied for Executive Board 2012/2013 of AIESEC in UUM, Selena Sum Yin Yee and Yap Jia Wei. The election lasted for 4 hours. At last, both of the candidates successfully garnered votes of two third from members of AIESEC in UUM to proceed to the next stage which is the individual interview. Lastly, we would like to congratulate both of the candidates for all their efforts and courage to take up this challenge. Good luck and all the best in the individual interview!

Individual Assessment
AIESEC in UUM was having an Individual Assessment right after the Group Assessment which was held from 27th until 30th of September 2012, at PKP, Universiti Utara Malaysia. The objective of this Individual Assessment is to assess about the mindsets and attitudes of the individuals, inter‐ested to become members of AIESEC. Throughout this assessment, the newbies had to answer questions based on their personalities and their prefer‐ence departments. We will be announcing the result of the assessment during the Induction Day which is to be held on 4th of Octo‐ber 2012.
