ones. AIK-EKO R&D Institute activity is aimed at development and implementation of advanced

energy-saving technologies for mining, metallurgical and power industry.

Operating strategy of effective cooperation between AIK-EKO R&D Institute and specialized

In the process of design and estimate documentation development AIK-EKO R&D

Institute uses effective project management system conforming to international quality

management system.

Project Management System combined with application of specialized

CONSULTING SERVICESCONSULTING SERVICES

Conduct of production technical audit allows

complex production optimization and equipment

operation efficiency improvement of entire

process chain.

When conducting technical audit our

specialists determine problematic factors in

management structure of enterprise as well as in

operation of equipment process chain. Finally

the recommendations for use of manufacturing

technologies with minimal labor efforts, as well as

maximal energy efficiency and capacity will be

issued.

The main tasks of production technical audit are as follows:

to improve production capacity;

to improve energy efficiency;

to reduce raw material consumption and rejected product quantity;

to improve output product quality;

to reduce labor efforts for repairs and operation.

Performance of all tasks is directed at prime cost reduction, improving competitiveness and

increasing of profits.

PRODUCTION TECHNICAL AUDIT

Before making decision for investment reasonability and effectiveness the first-priority

task is strategic planning. One of main steps of strategic planning is strategic analysis

enabling to determine and implement maximal efficient strategy for further development

of enterprise or corporation.

AIK-EKO R&D Institute in cooperation with specialized departments performs technical

audit for existing enterprises of industrial and municipal sector and based on that technical

audit makes strategic analysis that hereafter determines directions for investment projects

and programs.

Additionally, Institute performs strategic analysis for determining of new plants

construction reasonability taking into account current and predictable situation of local

and international markets, capital costs, competitiveness and payback time.

PILOT TESTS

Pilot tests are required for prove-out and confirmation of developed technology. During

performing pilot tests several variants of process chains are tested in order to determine

optimal variant. Results obtained during pilot tests are the basis for further project

development and implementation.

TECHOLOGIES DEVELOPMENT

On the basis of laboratory and pilot tests results specialists of AIK-EKO R&D Institute

design departments develop technologies of planned production with optimal technical

and economic indicators.

ENGINEERING

For justification of project investments our specialists perform feasibility study (if necessary

feasibility study is performed in several variants). On the basis of feasibility study results our

Customers can make decision on feasibility of project implementation, the most

acceptable variants and if required they can use feasibility study for design review and

approval by third-party investors.

In case of necessity our designers can take part in design review and approval by

Customer and third-part investors.

BANKABLE FEASIBILITY STUDY

At the stage of basic engineering the main design solutions are accepted, equipment

is selected as well as environmental compatibility and safety of accepted solutions in

terms of occupational and technogenic safety are evaluated.

Our design solutions are always aimed at usage of leading, reliable, advanced

technologies with minimal costs. We do not intend to use proven, but outdated

technologies. We offer to move forward.

Documents completed at basic engineering stage are used by Customer during

undergoing any expert reviews and obtaining required permits from regulatory

authorities. Our specialists provide complete support for obtaining positive conclusion of

expert review and permits.

We have experience in undergoing expert reviews as well as obtaining permits and we

are capable to release Customer from these works taking them upon ourselves.

DESIGN SUPERVISION

Specialists of AIK-EKO R&D Institute

have long-term experience in supervision

of industrial plants construction and

start-up. It allows providing qualified

design supervision of construction with

strict observance of all technical solutions

accepted in the project.

TRAINING

Implementation of modern technologies requires first of all involvement of qualified

operation personnel. For this purpose institute specialists as project designers develop

manuals and conduct training of management and production personnel of Customer.

Training is conducted at industrial site of Customer, at similar reference plants and as in

training centre of Institute.
