Air Capital Corvette Club Newsletter Page 1 Volume 53 - Issue 9 September, 2019 Continued on page 2 Message from the Prez . . . The other day we received the 'offer' to continue insurance on our house and cars, and thankfully the premium on the '03 50th Anniversary Vette was lower than Cindy's 2018 Subaru Impreza. It got me to thinking first about insurance and then protection of the American Sports Cars we enjoy so much. Did you know that on average monthly insurance rates on Corvettes run $181? (data compiled from public insurance state fillings from the top 5 carriers, on typical, middle-aged male driver) I hope your beating that average, which is Kansas is $116. Maine has the lowest average insurance cost on a Corvette of $76, with Iowa second - $84 then Idaho - $88. The most expensive states to insure a Corvette are Louisiana $206, Michigan (home of GM ironically) $204. [Somebody needs a new insurance commissioner, eh?]

Protection of a Corvette comes in many different packages ofcourse. Here's the CarCapsule which you can use to keep yourVette dry and dust free. No idea how easy it is to get it out whenit's time to go play though. I'm sure you've met some Vette Owner who takes protecting hisPride & Joy way too seriously. (But the sentiment here is a bitunderstandable) To be sure - to really show your love for your Vette, you gotta get it out on the road and let it burn through somehigh octane fuel. So drive & enjoy!
