Objectives
I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e 5
The goal of the Air Force Mentor Protégé Program is to develop small
businesses through technology transfer which results in developing small
business sources of supply and services for Air Force prime contracts and
subcontracts.
The program utilizes return on investment as a key indicator of success.
DoD measures success by the monetary value of contract and subcontract
awards obtained by the protégé as well as growth in Protégé firm
employees numbers.
The AF MPP is currently focused on technology transfer to small
businesses in the areas of cyber risk, strategic analysis, vulnerability
detection, cyber incident response, data interfacing, information assurance
and aircraft component development.
For FY15, program emphasis will be on value to DoD Technology Roadmap,
USAF S&T emphasis areas aligned w/SBIR and any other business areas in
the best interest of the Air Force.
