• Air-oil Mixing Distributor Valve Type AOl-FL

• Progressive Metering Device SSV and SSVD• Air-oil Mixing Block Type MB• Air-oil Metering Device Type ECOFLOW• EFC Installation Assembly

• Reduced lubricant consumption: Reduction up to 1/100th of the quantity when compared to grease lubrication• Continuous supply with fresh oil• Increased bearing lifespan• Positive pressure sealing of the bearing against contamination (water, dirt)

• Drastic reduction in maintenance costs; no cleaning of grease during bearing inspection• No grease contamination of equipment, the working area and cooling water• No misting of oil• Environmentally friendly by simple disposal methods• Oil and scale can individually be disposed of (clean separation)

An oil pump supplies aprogressive or a single-linemetering device with oil. Themetered quantities of oil from themetering device are supplied to amixing block that is connected tothe compressed air network. Theoil droplets in the line to thebearing are pulled apart in streaksby the flow of air. The airflow inthe middle of the tube transportsthe oil along the inner wall of thetube. The carrier compressed airexits the bearing andsimultaneously assists in sealingthe bearing. No oil mist develops.A continuous, minuscule amountof oil enters the bearing.

The AOI distributor injectoroperates on the single-lineconcept. This means, all injectorsare connected via a mainline tothe pump. The mainline isalternatively pressurized with oiland vented. Each injector outletcan be individually metered andthe function is visually monitoredvia a steel ball. In addition, theairflow is adjustable for eachoutlet. As a result, the AOIinjectors are especially suited forsystems with lubrication pointsthat have large variances inlubricant requirements per point.Visual monitoring is performed viaa steel ball that externally showsthe piston movement.

• Cleaning and disposal cost are reduced, as grease contamination of equipment, cooling water and the sinter is eliminated

• When comparing to oil mist lubrication, the breathing air is not contaminated with micro oil droplets. The macro oil drops remain in the bearing, thus avoiding breathing air contamination.

Air-oilProgressive System

When several hundred lubricationpoints are to be supplied, forexample in continuous casting orroll-out areas, progressive systemswith mixing blocks and ECOFLOWmetering devices are used.

The air-oil mixture is producedwithin the mixing blocks. Thedistribution of oil to the mixingblocks occurs via SSV progressivemetering devices. Depending onthe size of the system, the mixingblocks are available in two differentsizes. And, when different sizestrands are to be lubricated, SSVDmetering devices may be used forthe oil distribution. The air-oil flowis then distributed to the lubricationpoints by ECOFLOW meteringdevices - which are also availablein two sizes: "S" (small),"L" (large).

The large ECOFLOW meteringdevices are used as primary unitsthat supply the smaller meteringdevices. This reduces the totalnumber of mixing blocks, andprovides an even distribution forlarge systems.

Both the mixing blocks and theECOFLOW metering devices donot have moving parts, thuseliminating wear.

When vastly differing quantitiesare required, the SSVD may beused instead of the SSV. TheSSVD is adjustable per outlet pair(metering from 0.08 to 1.8 cm in10 increments). The meteringoccurs with the metering deviceblock via metering screws.

Air-oil Mixing Block Type MB

The air-oil mixing blocks producethe air-oil flow. They are availablein 2 sizes: type MB..S and MB..L.MB..S mixing blocks have 2 to 6outlets, and the MB..L have 2, 3or 4 outlets. As a result, varioussize strands with differentnumbers of lubrication points canbe supplied with a flow of air-oil.In accordance with the flow rate, the inlet and outlet port sizes aredifferent.

Air-oilProgressive Systemwith ECOFLOW Air-oil Flow Metering Device

The dividing of the finished air-oilflow is accomplished with theECOFLOW air-oil flow meteringdevice. The special designconcept avoids the CoandaEffect* and achieves the desiredsplit to secondary meteringdevices or to the lubricationpoints.

The ECOFLOW metering devicesare available in 2 sizes "S" (small)and "L" (large):

The large ECOFLOW meteringdevices are used as a primary tosupply the smaller ECOFLOWmetering devices.

The large ECOFLOW meteringdevices are available with 2 to 6outlets, and the small meteringdevices with 2 to 8 outlets.

Air-oilProgressive SystemEFC Installation Assembly

EFC installation assembly units areused for the lubrication of bearingsin rolling mills or straighteners. TheEFC supplies 2, 3 or 4 lubricationpoints from a single inlet with anair-oil flow mixture.

Every assembly consists of anumber of installation cartridgesand spacers.

The special design of the cartridgesenable the air-oil flow to be dividedinto the desired portions for eachconnected lubrication point. Thespacers are used to match thelength of the assembly to that of thebearing.
