An integrated and customised video-analytics solution for the real-time events detection
Alerts for user-configured events are generated automatically. Any redundant or false alarms are automatically filtered out. Events and relevant footage can be notified to the Control Centre, emergency respondents’ mobile devices or third-party monitoring systems in real-time. Dedicated software modules perform automatic counting and classifying operations for statistical analysis and help users evaluate operational performance, i.e. plant productivity, road traffic, in-store customer flows or access-gate counting.
AiVu-Smart Modules is a modular Video Analytics solution developed by Aitek to process live and recorded image coming from video-surveillance cameras. The AiVu-Smart Modules suite integrates existing CCTV systems by using Video Content Analysis techniques for real-time detection of a variety of different events focusing on people, vehicles and static objects. Our software modules are also designed to perform post-event analyses of recorded footage and acquire statistical data. Image processing algorythm-based detection is highly reliable and accurate.

Features
A web-based configuration interface allows users to draw virtual sensors (rules) that activate on all or part of the camera frameshot. Sensor number and type on cameras are easy to modify. A number of sensors can be configured on a single camera to simulatenously detect different events without altering processing performance.
♦ Customised video-analytics algorithms
♦ Easily expandable with new functionalities
♦ User-friendly web-based configuration interface that does not require specific know-how
♦ Multiple-rule configuration per camera without computing overload
Configuration interface
Cameras covering/tampering
• Detection of camera obscuration incidents (vandalism, dirty lenses and obstructions) that prevent video-analytics.
• Detection camera movements that prevent video-analytics.
Wrong way detection
• The module allows defining image areas in which a reference direction is defined.
• An alarm signal is generated each time a vehicle transits the wrong way through a sensor-defined area.
Intrusion and dangerous areas monitoring
• Detection of intrusion of people and/or vehicles potentially dangerous for the safety and the security of a monitored area.
Overcrowding
• Detection of crowd of people inside the monitored area, by setting the minimum number of people and the maximum time after which people inside the sensor-defined area will cause an alarm.
Smoke detection
• A dedicated module allows verifying the presence of smoke in the monitored area. It’s best suited for the monitoring of railway or roadway tunnels, road and motorways for the detection of events such as fires, disabled vehicles, etc.
Queue and speed drop detection
• Detection of speed drops within a sensor-defined area. An alarm is generated each time the average speed of vehicles transiting through a sensor falls below a configured threshold for longer than a defined time. This module is best suited to monitor vehicle flow and detect gridlocks or accidents.
• Detects vehicles or objects stationing on carriageway and/or inside tunnels.. An alarm signal is generated each time stationary objects or vehicles are detected within a configured sensor area for longer than a defined time.

Counting and classifications
• Defining of regions of interest within images (i.e. road lanes, intersections, access control points, etc.) in which the automatic detection of vehicles or people is performed by using a virtual sensor.
• Processing of statistics on the number and the type of objects, useful for analysis and integrations in traffic control systems.

SW module Features
AiVu-SmartModules-Count
Counts vehicles/people transiting through a sensor-defined area. This newly devised technology replaces existing, easily-damaged, induction-coils embedded in the tarmac. This module is best suited for counting transit flows along a selected lane or through a selected access-gate.
AiVu-SmartModules-Crowd
Detection of overcrowding inside the monitored area. This module is best suited for monitoring of railways or subways platforms, access gates, etc.
AiVu-SmartModules-Danger
Detects people or objects within the monitored area. This module is best suited for monitoring of railways/subways platforms and tracks. Generates an alarm when occur events such as platform yellow line crossing, track crossing, tunnel trespassing, presence of abandoned objects on the tracks.
AiVu-SmartModules-Direction
Detects vehicles transiting in a chosen direction. An alarm signal is generated each time a vehicle transits the wrong way through a sensor-defined area. Detects vehicles and/or people accessing a monitored area from the wrong way.
AiVu-SmartModules-Metrics
Uses perspective distortion to classify objects by size. This module is best suited to classify light/heavy-weight vehicles transiting through a defined sensor.
AiVu-SmartModules-Position
An alarm signal is generated each time a person or vehicle transits through a monitored area. This module is best suited to the surveillance of no- or restricted-access areas, such as parking-lots, operations and road-works.
AiVu-SmartModules-Queue
Generates an alarm signal each time traffic within a sensor-defined area exceeds a configured threshold. This module is best suited to monitor vehicle queues and detect gridlocks or accidents.
AiVu-SmartModules-Speed
Detects speed drops within a sensor-defined area. An alarm is generated each time the average speed of vehicles transiting through a sensor falls below a configured threshold for longer than a defined time. This module is best suited to monitor vehicle flow and detect gridlocks or accidents.
AiVu-SmartModules-Stop
An alarm signal is generated each time stationary objects or vehicles are detected within a configured sensor area for longer than a defined time. Detects vehicles or objects stationing on carriageway and/or inside tunnels.
AiVu-SmartModules-Covering
Detects camera obscuration incidents (vandalism, dirty lenses and obstructions) that prevent video-analytics.
AiVu-SmartModules-Tampering
Detects camera movements that prevent video-analytics. This module is best suited to detect vandalism.
AiVu-SmartModules-SmoFog
Allows users to activate virtual sensor-areas and generates an alarm signal each time smoke within a sensor-defined area exceeds a configured threshold.
