INTRODUCTION “Harvey Wismer”, founder of Harvel plastics

(Now George Fisher Harvel L.L.C) Helped develop the nations first CPVC pipe more than 55 year ago.

As a leading plastic pipe manufactured . Harvel broad experience with CPVC pipe instrumental to the successful introduction of “Blaze Master” CPVC pipe to the fire sprinkler industry .

In fact more than 25 years ago .Harvel was first in the plastics industry to develop and manufacture specialty plastics for five splinkler application

In the mid 1980.s the “Temp Rite” division of “B.F

Goodrich” company invented and introduced “Blaze

Master” CPVC compound to a select group of pipe & fitting

manufactures to help develop and manufacture

CPVC piping products for the fire sprinkler industry.

Chlorinated PVC is thermoplastics pipe material

nationally accepted since 1982 CPVC has many benfits when compared with other

plumbing material ..It is primarily used for supplying hot and cold

portable water and industrial liquid application.

Origins CPVC was first produced commercially

in the mid 1930 in Germany by chlorination of PVC polymer in solution in a chlorinated hydrogen (ISO 1043-1978)

However its logical consistency with accepted letter symbols for other polymer is questionable

CPVC are latters higher melts viscosity in processing and

high glass transition temperature vicat softening point and HDT under load. Like density of CPVC pipe

increase with increase chlorination content

EACH SCREW REQUIRES SPECIAL SCREW GEOMETRY TO PROCESS FOR OPTIMUM SHEAR, AS THE MATERIAL IS MUCH MORE HEAT SENSITIVE AS COMPARED TO NORMAL PVCThe screws are designed to give good melt homogeneity.
