I also learned how to run sound at the church I grew up at, and occasionally still do for special events.

This slide demonstrates my job at G.A.B.C. where I run sound for special events and perform other jobs in the media department.

Which is why I was hired to work as a stagehand for a large, summer concert series called Innsbrook AFter Hours.

Later on I started working as a music instructor for the YMCA, and have been teaching lessons there for the past eight years.

Which led to me launching the School of Rock & Worship in 2009.

The School of Rock & Worship is a program I started where we put kids into bands and develop them by teaching them cover songs, helping them write their own songs, booking them gigs and setting up recording sessions. We also develop worship bands for area youth groups.

Along the way I played in several bands where I learned a lot about the music industry,

This is a bunch of c.d.ʼs that my old band, Mayfair would set up on the merch table and give away for free.

All of this has helped lead to the success I’ve had with my current band, L.J.M.

This is my current band, L.J.M.

We lead others in worshipping God at camps, conferences, retreats and seminars all across the country.

L.J.M. leads worship for camps, conferences, retreats and seminars.

We even served as the worship band for the 2010 World Baptist Congress in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In 2010 L.J.M. was chosen by the Virginia Baptist Mission Board to be the House band for the World Baptist Congress, where over 6,000 people from all over the world attended.

And now I am working on my bachelors degree in music business to help me take my career to the next level.
