JQ Issues ApologyJetstar has apologised to a female passenger after a male flight at-tendant asked her how many weeks pregnant she was—when in fact she wasn’t pregnant. The offended pas-senger took to social media to vent her frustration on JQ’s Facebook page, saying it made her feel self-conscious, and angry that she did not get an apology. JQ has since called the passenger to offer an apology as well as a $100 voucher. The question some are now asking is when, and when isn’t it, ap-proriate to ask ‘that’ question.

Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, the latest additions to the P&O Cruises fleet, will call at Fraser Island 03 Apr and 12 Dec, respectively—the first of a number of calls to the island. Queensland Minister for Tourism Kate Jones welcomed the announce-ment and hopes it will encour-age cruisers to explore more of Queensland. “We’ll now see more visitors enjoying Fraser Island’s nat-ural beauty, which is great news for local tourism operators. We hope that the incredible experiences visitors will have on Fraser Island make them want to return to Queensland again,” she says. Clients visiting Fraser Island on-board Pacific Aria will sail roundtrip from Brisbane in Apr and onboard Pacific Eden they will sail on a roundtrip cruise from Sydney in Dec.

Kiwis More AdventurousTurkey, Slovenia and Malta are the up-and-coming summer destinations for Kiwis travelling to the UK and Europe in 2016, says House of Travel. While Kiwi leisure travellers ap-preciate European destinations that have some parallels with New Zea-land, thanks to the availability of information and more airlines to travel with, many are becoming more adventurous in where they travel to says commercial director Brent Thomas. “Key destinations such as the UK, It-aly and France continue to be hugely popular with Kiwis, but we’re seeing growth in other European countries too. Growth in leisure travellers to Turkey has been exponential in 2015 and Slovenian visitors tripled between 2014 and 2015.” Thomas added that they’re expecting to see continued growth in Kiwis travel-ling to both these destinations.
