ALBERTO LAGOIngegnere, Architetto e Designer

Progettista multidisciplinare con base Venezia. Ha una Laurea in Ingegneria Edile (Padova), un Master in Ingeg-neria Civile (Los Angeles, USA), un Ph.D. in Ingegneria Sismica (Pavia/Stoccarda) e un Master in Design Digitale (Stoccarda).

Ha iniziato la sua carriera progettando grattacieli a San Francisco, per poi sperimentare con le nuove tecnologie per la progettazione architettonica, fino a passare alla scala artigiana per condivire le proprie conoscenze tecno-logiche.

Oggi risiede e lavora a Venezia dove sviluppa i suoi progetti che si muovono al confine tra ingegneria, architet-tura, design e arte.

Alberto collabora anche con l’università IUAV di Venezia, nel dipartimento di technologia dell’architettura, come ricercatore e assistente alla didattica.

EROSION TECTONIC

The process will start from a speci�ed volume ( ) on which a certain number of agents will run to de�ne the �ow dynamic of water and the chemical reaction between water and the di�er -ent rock formation. The agents will be guided by the ridge and mountain formation leading di�erent path systems ( ). The erosion system can occour up to a certain limit at which the material is completely removed. At this point the volume could present a hole, where no more material is present ( ).

SWARM BEHAVIOUR

Swarm behavior can be simulated by a type of multi-agent algorithm. The most popular algorithm is the algorithm of boids developed by Craig Reynolds in 1986. The boids algorithm consists of three simple rules.

Cohesion : going to the center of the surrounding agents.Alignment : heading towards the same direction of other agents. Separation : going away from other agents.

Each of those three rules has different distance range and attraction and repulsion forces. Typically cohesion has the largest range, align-ment has the second largest and the separation has the smallest, but depending on the intended behaviors of swarm agents, this order can be changed.
