EFFICIENT BUILDINGS

Abstract:

Modern architectural concepts, which arebased on rational energy consumption ofbuildings and the use of solar energy as arenewable energy source, give the new andsignificant role to the roofs that becomemultifunctional structures. Various ener-gy efficient roof structures and elements,beside the role of protection, provide ther-mal and electric energy supply, natural ven-tilation and cooling of a building, naturallighting of the indoor space, sunbeam pro-tection, water supply for technical use, thusaccording to the above mentioned func-tions, classification and analysis of suchroof structures and elements are made inthis paper. The search for new architecturalvalues and optimisation in total energy bal-ance of a building, or the likewise for theurban complex, gave to roofs the role ofclimatic membranes. Contemporary roofforms and materials clearly exemplify theirmultifunctional features. There are numer-ous possibilities to achieve the new andattractive roof design which broadens tothe whole construction. With such induce-ment, this paper principally analyse theconfiguration characteristics of the energyefficient roof structures and elements, aswell as the visual effects that may beachieved by their application.Key words:

Apstrakt:

Savremeni arhitektonskikoncepti zasnovani na racio-nalnoj energetskoj potro{wizgrada i upotrebi sun~eveenergije, kao obnovqivogizvora energije, daju nove izna~ajne uloge krovovima, kojipostaju multifunkcionalnestrukture. Razli~ite ener-getski-efikasne krovne struk-ture i elementi, osim za{tite,omogu}avaju snabdevawetoplotnom i elektri~nomenergijom, prirodnu ven-tilaciju i hla|ewe zgrade,prirodno osvetqavawe pro-stora, za{titu od sun~evihzraka, snabdevawe tehni~komvodom, a prema navedenimfunkcijama u radu je izvr{enawihova klasifikacija ianaliza. Tragawe za novimarhitektonskim vrednostimai optimizacija ukupnog ener-getskog bilansa zgrade, kao iurbanih celina, dodelili su

krovovima i funkciju kli-matskih omota~a. Savremeneforme i materijalizacijakrovova jasno iskazuju wihovomultifunkcionalno obele`je.Raznovrsne su mogu}nostiza nov i atraktivan dizajnkrovova, a time i objekata.To je povod da se u radu uglavnom analizirajuoblikovne karakteristike energetski-efikas-nih krovnih struktura i elemenata i vizuelni
