Brief
Design a range of gift cards for a range of different audiences represented by the re known Hallmark Cards. Concept
Use a mixture of Christmas themed imagery and character design to appeal to a mixture of different age ranges.

Here I have designed a set of characters (i) to appeal to a younger audience. These work as pop up cards (board 1) where the characters head is pulled upwards to reveal a Christmas message as well as opening outwards to become a standard card to write your own message into. They are hand rendered and digitally coloured.
I furthered the pop up cards onto a range of repeat pattern wrapping paper and Christmas crackers (board 1).
I also fabric printed the solider character to proposed a set of Christmas Tree decorations as part of the range.

I designed for a different more feminine audience here which might appeal to a more traditional festive taste. These are pen drawings, scanned and then applied with water colour. I intro-duced hand rendered script type to further the home made feel of which I was told by the agency was on trend.

These are some proposed alternative artworks to go to pitch for the Hallmark Christmas range. Some (i) stick to safer imagery for the more traditional Christmas celebrators whilst others (ii) are a little more contemporary by colour scheme and content. The ball ball design was made using way crayons and pen drawings.
The map design (iii) was made on request which could be used as gift wrap or other gift accessories such as gift bags.
