ANNOUNCER (V.O.) (CONT'D)This is where the trouble-shootingpart of the process begins. The systemmay deny a claim due to non-eligibility on DOS. A claim can alsobe rejected if, through no fault oftheir own, a member forgets and leavessome essential information off theirform.

All problems have solutions. A quickcatch is considered a save in yourskillful hands. An additionalinformation request should be filledat this point. Upon receipt of themissing data an additionalinvestigation of the memberseligibility will be conducted todetermined whether any furtherauthorization should be sought todiscern any further irregularities.The process receives what’s called aICD-9/CPT coding. At this point theclaim is either forwarded as a sharedrisk or returned because claimant isnot a NMM member.

Further problems with a claim maynecessitate a legal resolution. Thestatus of all normal and problemclaims are recorded during the weeklycheck run.

You’ll also be responsible for issuingcapitation payments to all managedIPA's physicians on a monthly basis.An easy to learn eligibility managersoftware program will help you keepthe Allied roster per health plansgenerated by R&R up-to date and movingforward. Conformation of adjustments,termination’s and additions of membersare determined by matching the Alliedroster with the Health providerroster. All conformation ofadjustments are always approved byour staff.

All new members are now officiallyput into EZ CAP and Sub IPA systemsand the existing files are allupdated. An EZ CAP master is generatedwith member’s new assignments toPCP’s, EZ CAP APC’s and all sub IPA’s.

Letters are generated to informmembers that they have been enrolledinto EZ CAP or that no PCP has beenassigned. If adjusted prior to CAPruns CAP is paid for the current runin EZ CAP. Allied capitation checksare generated and reviews and approvedby the chief executive officer. SubIPA checks are reviewed and signedby appropriate officers. Adjustedafter cap run cap payments are madeon the following cap run. If notadjusted member are assign to A 99999PCP I.D.

Funds are monitored by the accountdepartments and conformation ofaccount balance is generated.

Sub IPA checks requiring a secondsignature from the assigned signerof that IPA all are monitored byaccounting departments personnel.Capitation checks are released tothe PCP’s. Once a member is notifiedof no current PCP, adjustments aremade at the Health Plan pendingverification by Allied RetroCapitation. All adjustments are madeto EZ Cap and the Cap processcontinues. Capitation Checks arereleased to the PCP’s. Sub IPA checksare sent to the sub IPA contact personfor the second signature then releasedto the PCP.

In order to provide the best possiblecare for our members we maintain thehighest possible standards. Anycontracted provider and otherproviders who express interest injoining our team must be screened. Arigorous application and verificationprocess ensues at this point.

The application process requestssubmission of a Curriculum Vitae(CV)from the individual. They mustcomplete a short questionnaire basedupon the submitted CV.

The completed questionnaire and CVare presented to the Peer ReviewCommittee for approval. Upon reviewand acceptance, the individual willbe sent an application if their CVand questionnaire are approved bythe Peer Review Committee.

Once an individual or healthcarefacility application is received,the department has to review andverify every item included in theapplication within 180 days.
