PARENT VISITATION WEEK
1. ONLY ONE VISITOR PER STUDENT. - Too many visitors create undo stress on the students & teachers. Please leave your other children at home – it will make the class more meaningful to the student. Brothers & sisters often end up "stealing the show" and distracting the students, teachers, and other parents.
If this is impossible, please speak with Megan before visitation weeks. 2. PLEASE BE QUIET & ATTENTIVE. Children are easily distracted and it is difficult to ask them to be quiet if their parents are not. 3. TURN OFF CELL PHONES!!! 4. NOTICE what they have learned & where they have improved - Let them know you noticed. 5. APPLAUSE, COMPLIMENTS, ENCOURAGEMENT, and CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM are always needed and welcome. It is far easier to perform on stage in front of thousands than to conduct a lesson in front of a small group of parents!!! 6. OUR VERY YOUNG STUDENTS do simple warm-ups designed to protect the undeveloped body. No fourth or fifth position ballet. Fun songs and dance routines, with much repetition, are used to train the body and memory. Creative movements are used to stimulate the imagination and to learn to hear and appreciate the music and movement. Learning basic motor skills, taking directions, using formations, building self confidence and poise, rhythm, coordination, flexibility, and good manners are all a part of our program. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS LETTER. THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH YOUR WONDERFUL CHILDREN. ENJOY VISITORS’ DAY. If your child takes more than one lesson, please feel free to observe one or all of the classes. If you work and cannot attend the entire class, please attend whatever part is possible.
Saturday, November 12th - Friday, November 18th
PLEASE – Park on the LEFT side of the building ONLY!!!
*** PLEASE KEEP STUDENTS HOME WHEN THEY ARE SICK!!! ***
