Admission Procedure for B. Tech. Students

Candidates seeking to get admission in the i nstitute are required to pass HSexamination (10 + 2) or equivalent examination of a recognised Board orUniversity and also have to qualify in the Joint Entrance examination conductedby the West Bengal Board of Examinations for admission to Engineering a ndfinally get admitted through Counselling by the Central Selection Committee

Students qualifying All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) are alsoeligible for admission upto 5% of the total sanctioned intake as directed by theDirectorate of Technical Education, Govt. of West Bengal.


Diploma holders in their specifi c branch of engineering are also eligible to getadmission into the 3 rd Semester of B. Tech. (i.e., 2 nd year) after qualifying in theWest Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for lateral entry (JELET) subject to amaximum limit of 10% of the sanctioned intak e in each course as per the normsof the AICTE through Counselling by the Central Selection Committee.
