February’s Character Education Trait
Leadership, Initiative and Teamwork
It’s time for our 5th Annual PTO paper drive to help ALL
classrooms. The paper drive will run from January 30th to
February 10th. The class that collects the most reams of
paper in their grade level will win $40.00 for their
classroom. Paper can be dropped off in the morning to our
NEHS students and parent volunteers at the front or back of
the school. You may also drop paper off to the office
anytime during the day. Thank you for your continued
support to Raymond Case! Cougars ROAR!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our second trimester comes to an end at the end
of this month. We will have Minimum Days for parent/
student conferences from Tuesday, March 7th – 10th. Our
teachers will be setting up conferences for all of our new
students as well as some continuation conferences from
the fall for students who are not performing to the grade
level standards. The forms with dates and times will be
sent home during the end of February. If you have a
need for a conference, please feel free to contact your
child’s teacher. On-going communication and a partner-
ship with your child’s teacher are contributing factors for
your child’s success in the spring.
Please continue to encourage your child to use
the Lexia Core5 program at home. Our teachers have
noticed many students make tremendous gains with their
reading foundational skills from using this program. Be-
sides Lexia Core 5, encourage your child to read or be
read to for a minimum of 20 minutes each night. Stu-
dents in grades 1 – 6 are encouraged to take Reading
Counts quizzes following completing each book. We’ll
be announcing our Reading Counts awards during our
Trimester 2 assemblies on March 10th. If you have any
questions regarding your child’s progress or accessing
the program, please contact your child’s teacher.
We value your partnership in your child’s
education. Thank you for supporting our school.
Sincerely,
John Santin

Please bring in proof of immunization to the Ray-mond Case School office before Friday, May 26th in order for your child’s immunization records to be up to date with their future middle school. We appreci-ate your support.
