LOOK UP!! There is a NEW Header for our bulletin, communicating who we are together as a Parish and what it is we are doing. We are All Saints Parish, within the Archdiocese of Halifax Yarmouth, and created by the family of (listed) the “7 churches, 1 MISSION, Stronger Together.” Our MISSION??

What would be your answer today if you were asked, “what is GOD asking the parishioners of All Saints Parish to do as a MISSION?” or asked “what is GOD asking you to do in All Saints Parish, in His name? Our parish is only as good as the work we do for GOD. That’s it!! The true measure of our success (or not), is in the works done for GOD’s priorities.

What are those priorities? Very simple...sing the song “Blessed Are They” in the GP (or google) and you will know that the true measure of our parish is not our buildings, land, stained glass windows, the $$$ in the bank or even the numbers of ac-tive parishioners. The measure if we are successful shows up around us and in the homes around our parish…..Are there people in our Parish or community, who are hungry, people in need of heat for their homes, people who have no visitors in prison, people homeless, people who are lonely, people who are sick and afraid, people who are fighting illness without anyone or people who are desperately or working poor?? If we said YES to one of those answers, then we have work yet to do and still working on being successful in GOD’s name and our MISSION.

If living by the two great commandments, LOVE GOD and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR (ONE ANOTHER) then; if our neighbor is one of those in need and we aren’t helping, then we are not doing the MISSION of GOD or our Parish. Simple. Mother There-sa said “If you can’t feed 100 people, then feed just 1 person” and “If you are Judging people, then you have no time to LOVE them!” That 1 person is our neighbor, it is the person living next door (or down the road, over a street, or showed up at church unknown, or at your gym or the drunk, the drugged, the lost, the “different one”....). They are our MISSION, if they are living in need. This means you don’t even have to travel to help make our parish be successful. If each person of our parish (approx. 650+) decided to help with the need of one of their neighbors; lifting them up, listening, learning, meeting their needs and loving them….then we will be multiplying GOD’s work in the 1,000’s or more. Then we can start to believe

our church/parish is successful. Can you help your neighbor today?? g

The Season of Christmas— Living HOPE, PEACE, JOY & LOVE

Be Scent-sitive!

There are parishioners that attend Mass and Lay Service

throughout the county, that are VERY allergic to SCENTS,

from all sources such as laundry sheets, detergent, per-

fumes, deodorant, sprays, lotions, etc.

This severe allergy, can cause weeks of sickness, severe

breathing issues and hospitalization.

Help Keep Our Place Safe For All Who Join Us!!

Thank you to the Knights

Holy Family Church would like to thank the Knights of Columbus for their donation of the “Consecration to the Holy Family” art-work in the Gathering Area. If you would like to assist us thanking the Knights, pick up the prayer card on the Gathering Area table

and say this prayer for the month of January in honor of the Knights work with the poor, sick, lonely and more. In prayer we give thanks for the Knights of Columbus good works.

Dear Jesus we pray that the Australia wildfires are stopped, that all emergency workers, firefighters, volunteers are kept strong

and those affected by this incredible tragedy, including the animals are safe, supported and surrounded by our LOVE.

Mass Intentions:

Have you thought about having a MASS intention said for someone spe-cial? Contact Mary Comeau at the Ho-ly Family office, 902-667-2523 to re-quest MASS INTENTIONS for All Saints Parish, in memory of a loved one or for a special celebra-tion for all the Parish. Open to anyone who would like intentions said. Mass intentions have often been used as a gift in honor a special date, event, person. A great gift idea for that “hard to shop for person” for their birthday or special occasion.

Please specify which church in the Parish to have these intentions said. Also, indicate if a preference to a weekday or weekend (Sat or Sun) MASS. We will try to meet all requests and thank you. Cheques to All Saints Parish.

2020 All Saints Parish Envelopes:

All Parishioners have been issued a new envelope number.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to use the NEW envelopes 2020 now and destroy any old envelopes.

It is possible in the preparation of all the boxes for the 7 churches, some parishioners names have been

missed. We apologize for this and there are extra boxes at each church to give you a new box with a new number.

Contact your local Leadership and/or Finance Team member to have your new box set up. We appreciate your patience and support.

All NEW Envelopes are in the Gathering Areas

of each Church. If you have not PICKED UP yours, please do it this weekend. Thank You.

Pre-Authorized Remittance All Saints Parishioners:

Have you considered joining other parishioners in using the PAR option for making financial contributions to your church. PAR (Pre-authorized Remittance) is a great way to set up your donations without worrying about enve-lopes or having money for the envelopes. All PAR users receive an income tax receipt, the same as those with en-velopes. Here’s another PAR happy customer, that switched….

“it seemed that it could make things easier for me. So I am going to try it for a year.” - parishioner on PAR.

Contact Evelyn at 902-667-5244 to set up the PAR for your contributions or to ask any questions of the PAR process. This option is available to all parishioners of All Saints Par-ish. Check out how easy and safe it is to sign up and use this program. Call Today To Find Out More!!

COLLECTION UPDATES As your Leadership Teams continue work-ing to address the 3 priorities of the All Saints Parish parishioners - improved Com-munication, building Trust and transparent

Finances, we will continue to use the bulletin as our #1 tool to assist in achieving these priorities.

Starting in the next few weeks in the bulletin, we will begin to do a Week-end Collection Update for All Saints Parish vs. individually for churches. Due to the turna-round of each church depositing their weekend collec-tions, this recap will be a 2 week delay but it will begin to give us all a bigger picture look of the parish viability.

As was shared at the Town Hall Meetings, the expected date to be able to provide a overview of a financial report for All Saints Parish will be (at this time) in March.
