THE GATHERING OF GOD’S PEOPLEThe Advent Season is marked by joy and expectation of

Jesus’ birth. Holidays and anniversaries are times when we feel all our emotions more intensely--both joy and sorrow.

We are blessed to have a family of faith with which to gather for all the seasons of life! Let us worship God!

THE GREAT THANKSGIVINGJust prior to Advent every year is Thanksgiving.

It’s appropriate to give thanks as part of our preparing for Emmanuel--God with us. We thank God with words, prayers, and songs. But then we give back to God our materials gifts

as well for the good it will do in the world.

THE WORD FOR THE DAYAdvent is a season of stories and words.

We end every Christmas Eve with the words: “In the beginning was the Word.” We call the Bible the

“Word of God”. But we know also that these are not all of God’s words. Hear what the

Spirit is saying to you this day!
