Task 1 Writing Exam Reflection
Well done to those of you who have sent me the writing exam. Please let me know if you sent the exam but have not received feedback.
Please find my feedback now and either have it open on your screen to look at or print it out if you can.
Once you have my feedback open in front of you, complete slides 3-5. All the work you complete on the exam reflection should be done on a separate piece of A4 paper and left safely at the back of your French folder so we can go through it when schools reopen.
(If you never emailed me your exam, there is still time: email it to me today!! Start the lesson from slide 7/Task 2 onwards. )
Writing Exam ReflectionTask 1 - Describe the photo
All the work on the exam reflection (slides 5 to 8) should be done on a separate piece of A4 paper and should be put at the back of your French folder.
In Task 1 of your exam, you were given 2 marks for each sentence so the exercise was out of 8 marks.
Looking at what marks you got in the photo description and what mistakes you made, tick the grid below:

In the 150 word essay, you got given 3 marks: 1 mark out of 15 (content), 1 mark out of 12 (range of language), 1 mark of 5 (accuracy of your spelling and grammar)
The pink grid there shows the 15 marks for Content.

Task 4 Planning and writing the 150 word
Now that you have had a bit of tense revision, plan and write the following 150 word and send me both the plan and essay. BUT FIRST SEE NEXT SLIDES 16-19 FOR HOW.
How to plan – then see example on next slide1. Work out the meaning of the bullet points as best you can. Write them down in English with the tense
you will need in capital letters!2. Think about (you can use your book) making a mind map on useful things for the topic of
technology/free time and any nice opinion phrases/connectives. 3. Decide what is useful to answer the questions from your mind map. Make notes on what you could use
for each bullet and refer back to the question to make sure you are answering it. Try to include all three tenses.
4. Remember to use PORT.5. Write the essay.6. Check 1 - word count - (count how many words in one line then times by the number of lines to do this
quickly) 7. If you are not at 150 words you can easily increase word count by :- a. adding detail (who with, where,
why, how). B). Adding an opinion (and then someone else’s or a negative opinion). Avoids lists. 8. Check 2 – upgrade – are there any simple words you could upgrade for more complex ones ? Any times
you have used the same word twice when you know another word? 9. Check work thoroughly for spellings, tenses (use your grid) and that it makes sense. 10.Well deserved break (kitkat)!

It is possible we will back in school after May half Term and if so, we will probably do the speaking exam we almost did, just before the lockdown.
So, it’s time you re-learn your answers on New Technology and My Studies (school). Make sure you re-learn about 3 paragraphs by heart every week from now on.
