Introduction to your Timekeeper

KEY

Keypad 0 – 9 Input Number, Letter or select menu options, “0”= space

Important Notes

Your attendance terminal will have already been factory set to automatically connect to your Primetime account So all you should need to do is :-

1. Plug Terminal into power 2. Connect it by cable or WiFi to your network /router 3. Register new employees on the terminal and on your

Primetime account https://primetime.alldaytime.co.uk/ 4. Then create some Attendance times by placing a finger on

the reader. 5. after a few mins the records should be viewable in the

primetime account on your employees clock cards.

User Enrollment

Users register with Fingerprints, Password or an ID Card. To enroll a user,

follow the process below;

1. Press ‘Menu’ to enter the menu, select the ‘Enroll’ option.

2. Select ‘ID’ to Input the users ID number. This ID needs numerical

within 1 to 9 digits

3. Select “Name” to Input the staff name. (See Page 4 for further

details names are not necessary for the unit to work)

4. Select “Finger” to Register Fingerprints. (You must press the same

finger 3 times)

5. Select “Pwd” to Register a Password. (You must input the password

number 2 times)

6. Select “Card” to Register an ID Card or key fob and when prompted

show the card to the reader as indicated below;

7. Select “Admin” if the user will be enrolling other users to allow

access to the menu.

Please Note: The Timekeeper terminal is sent to you with no Admin set, this allows

anyone to enter the menu and alter settings.

As soon as you add a user as Admin, access to the Menu will require an Admin user

to identify themselves by use of finger, pin or ID card. It is recommended you set

yourself (and at least one other person) as an Admin user to prevent locking yourself

out of the menu.

How to Enter / Edit a Users name

(only necessary if you want to see names on the screen when

employees clock IN/OUT)

1. Select the ‘Name’ option and press OK.

2. A small box will pop-up on screen for you to enter the name of the

user.

3. Press the mode key ‘⊙’ to toggle between Uppercase, Lowercase

and numbers.

4. Identify which key has the required letter and press this key the

appropriate amount of times till the letter appears on-screen. For

example, if the letter ‘K’ is required press the ‘5’ key 2 times.

5. For a more detailed button pressing sequence for entering text for

names see the sequence table below. (Note the table below

presumes you have just opened the name text window and not

pressed any buttons yet.)

Editing Users

Select the ‘Enroll’ option, Select ‘Browse’ and then highlight the user you

would like to edit and press ‘OK’. From this screen you will be able to

change any of the user’s enrolment details.

Deleting Users

Select the ‘Enroll’ option, Select ‘Delete’, Select ‘ID’ then type in the number

of the enrolment you would like to delete. From this screen you will be able

to delete the users enrolment.

Downloading Clocking Data onto a USB

To download the clocking data onto a USB, follow the process below;

1. Insert the USB into the left hand side of the Timekeeper.

2. Go into the Timekeeper Menu and select ‘Comm’.

3. Select ‘U-Down’, you will then be presented with 2 different options;

4. Select one of the options, this will then download the files

requested.

Glog&Del – This will download all clocking files made since

the last download of data. (Use this option if transferring

data to your online Primetime Web account).

AllGlog – This will download all clockings ever made.(Do

not send this file to your online Primetime Web account or

you will duplicate all previous data in the system).

5. Once the download has finished you will see a pop-up on screen

saying ‘Download Completed’.

Please note: When transferring data to a USB flash drive it is recommended that

you use a well known quality branded drive to prevent possible data loss.

Connecting the Timekeeper to a Wired Network

1. Plug one end of a Network cable into the left hand side of the

Timekeeper, plug the other end into your network socket or the back

of your router.

2. Any Attendance records created at the Terminal will now be sent to

the software and you should be able to see the data in the

employees clock card after a short time.

items 4 - 10 Advanced setup for advanced users only. If for

some reason you cannot use DHCP and need to specify a static ip

address on your terminal please follow the instructions below to

achieve this.

3. Go into the Timekeeper menu and select ‘Comm’.

4. Select 'Network'

5. Ensure ‘Mode’ is set to ‘internet’.

6. Select ‘ETH Setting’ and press OK.

7. Set ‘Enable’ to ‘Yes’.

8. Set ‘DHCP’ as ‘No’ and then enter the corresponding IP details you

need. If you change your mind and would now like the Timekeeper

to automatically pick up IP details from your server / router again,

set ‘DHCP’ to ‘Yes’. Turning DHCP off is not generally

recommended unless you are familiar with ip networks and servers.

9. Once the above steps have been followed, your Timekeeper will

now be connected to your network.

Connecting the Timekeeper to a WiFi Network - Quick guide

The following guide assumes no admins are set in the unit. If

admins are set in the unit then you will need to identify as a valid

admin to access the menu system.

1. Press "Menu" Button and select "Comm"

2. Select "Network".

3. Ensure ‘Mode’ is set to "internet".

4. Select "Wifi" Setting’ and press "OK".

5. Set ‘Enable’ to "Yes".

6. Leave DHCP set as "Yes". Do not turn off DHCP unless you have a

firm knowledge of IP networks and servers.

7. Select "Search" and then press "OK". This will then scan for

available Wifi connections on your network.

8. Select the Wifi you would like to connect from the list to then enter

the password for that Wifi..

9. Once the above steps have been followed, your Timekeeper will

now be connected to your network.

Connecting Timekeeper to a WiFi Network - Detailed Guide

Important tips. Before you start make sure you know the name

of the WiFi signal you want to connect to and its correct

password.

1. On the Clock keypad press the "Menu" button

2. Press "Down Arrow" button once the screen should move to

highlight the "Comm" option

3. Press "OK" button

4. Press "Down Arrow" button once the screen should move to

highlight the "Network" option

5. Press "OK" button

6. Ensure ‘Mode’ is set to internetl’.

7. Ensure "ETH" setting is "Yes"

8. Press "Down Arrow" button twice the screen should move to

highlight the "WiFi" option

9. Press "OK" button "Enable" should now be highlighted

10. Press "OK" button again

11. use down and up arrow buttons to select "Yes"

12. Press "OK" button

13. Ensure "DHCP" setting is "Yes"

14. Turning off DHCP is not generally recommended unless you are

familiar with ip networks and servers

15. Press "Down Arrow" button seven times the screen should move to

highlight the "Search" option

16. Press "OK" button This will then scan for available Wifi connections

on your network.

17. Wait for a short time 20-40 seconds for the screen to refresh with

the current list of available WiFi signals.

18. Press the "Down Arrow" button until you highlight the correct WiFi

signal you would like to connect to

19. Press "OK" button

20. Enter the correct password for that Wifi signal (see section below

21. Press "OK" button

22. Press "ESC" button several times to exit back to the normal display.

23. Once the above steps have been followed, your Timekeeper will

now be connected to your network.

Quick guide

1. Select the password option and press "OK" button.

2. A small box will pop-up on screen for you to enter the Wifi password.

3. Press the "Mode" ‘⊙’ button to toggle between Uppercase,

Lowercase and numbers.

appropriate amount of times till the letter appears on-screen. For

example, if the letter ‘K’ is required press the ‘5’ key 2 times.

5. After you have added all characters press "OK" button to save

and exit

6. If you make a mistake press "ESC" button and start again

Detailed guide for entering text for WiFi password

1. Select the password option and press "OK" button.

2. A small box will pop-up on screen for you to enter the Wifi

password.

3. From the table below Press the button sequence that corresponds

to each character required in turn. Press each sequence without

pauses and then wait 2 seconds between each character

sequence to allow each character sequence to be logged.

4. After you have added all characters press "OK" button to save

and exit

5. If you make a mistake press "MENU" button to delete or "ESC"

button and start again

Setting the time on the Timekeeper

1. Select ‘Set Time’ in the Timekeeper menu.

2. Select ‘Manual Set’ then press OK.

3. From this screen, you can manually enter the date and time you

want displayed on the Timekeeper.

Setting up bells on the Timekeeper

1. Select ‘Bell’ in the Timekeeper Menu.

2. Enter how long you would like to ring the bell for.

3. Enter the times you would like the bell to ring.

How to position your finger on the Timekeeper

Firmly press your finger onto the centre of the fingerprint reader, ensuring

your fingertip is as flat as possible.

Still have Trouble using your finger ?

If your finger is Clean and Undamaged and you are following the

guide pictures above but still having issues reading your finger. You

may find that your finger is too clean and no skin oil is present on the

skin. This can happen if you have just washed your hands or had a

shower... try running the finger down the crease of your nose this will

pick up some skin oil and allow the reader to read your finger better.
