Allergy Assistant Job Description Posi%on Overview: Serves as the Assistant Support to the Allergy Nurse for Clinical Support for pa7ents referred, following evalua7on, by Ear, Nose & Throat Associates (ENTA) trea7ng Physicians for Allergy Tes7ng and ongoing immunotherapy. On occasion, the Allergy Assistant may also be asked to perform non-clinical responsibili7es to ensure con7nuity of opera7ons throughout ENTA Supervision: Allergy Assistants report directly to the ENTA Allergy Manager. Flexibility: While this Job Descrip7on is meant to provide an overview and specific responsibili7es of an Allergy Assistant, ENTA Management reserves the right to make changes, adjustments and revisions, as needed, to this document and will coordinate such modifica7ons with The Clinical Manager and Allergy Nurses. Summary of General Du%es: Updates or populates pa7ent chart with relevant medical data; documents in the electronic Medical Record (EMR) any per7nent pa7ent informa7on. Ensure a physician is on premises at all 7mes during the opera7on of the Allergy Clinic. Ensure compliance with all provisions of the Allergy Policy Manual. Schedule tes7ng and injec7ons for individual Allergy Department. Verify insurance benefits prior to allergy tes7ng and add benefits to EMR. Obtain Referrals for Allergy Tes7ng and Immunotherapy as required by pa7ent’s insurance company prior to the pa7ent’s appointment and add to the EMR. No7fy the appropriate biller and provide the verifica7on informa7on for purposes of pa7ent follow up. Ensure that pa7ents have a scheduled appointment prior to being seen in the Allergy clinic. Input future pa7ent appointment 7mes into the computer prior to pa7ent leaving their scheduled appointment. Keep allergy Department neat and 7dy with pa7ent safety in mind. Maintain a safe work environment. Order supplies as necessary. No7fy the Clinical Manager of any problems with pa7ent care, equipment, or supplies in the clinic. Physical Demands: Coordina7on, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the posi7on or directed by the Clinical Manager. pa7ents in transferring from a wheel chair to an Allergy Tes7ng chair, when necessary. Responsibili7es may also require the incumbent to travel between ENTA offices for support purposes. The incumbent must also be capable of liXing up to 25 pounds.

Working Condi%ons: Normal medical office environment; this environment may involve dealing with a high traffic volume of people and stressful situa7ons requiring the ability to think clearing; respond quickly; and to be able to perform mul7ple tasks simultaneously. Periodic training and administra7on workshops and mee7ngs specific to Allergy may be scheduled. When scheduled, incumbent is expected to a[end and par7cipate.
