Make the journey!ALPE−ADRIA 2011 IN NUMBERS
• 332 tourist providers from the Alps−Adriatic region
• 20 nautical companies (Boat Show)
• 16,000 visitors
• 265 domestic and international journalists
The end of January is tradi-tionally reserved for tourism at GR − Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. Last year the biggest tourism and leisure time event in Slovenia successfully incorporated the Alpe−Adria region. With 30-years of development it is now the leading tourism event in the region, which includes Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Hun-gary and Croatia, but there will be many international destinations too. Hence the name: Alpe−Adria: Tourism and Leisure Show.
Make the journey to Ljubljana and tell your story at the big-gest travel bureau in town. Where else can boast Venice, Dubrovnik, Lake Bled, the Postojna Caves, Olympic Alpine ski slopes, lake Balaton and the warm and inviting Adriatic − all within a couple
of hours travelling? Our Alpe−Adria Show is a meeting point and a crossroads; it creates an excitement and expectation.
Our fair is fun, vivacious, active, and green; and deli-cious with many local culi-nary delights. The ambitious program offers a wide range of events − professional, busi-ness, education and entertain-ment. An award for excellence and quality in tourism, named after the first traveller, the pilgrim St. James (Jakob), will be presented at the fair.
Why make the journey? Because here every Janu-ary all types of tourist will find their style of vacation. Action and adventure; rest and recuperation; art, beauty and culture; weekenders; travelers, tourists and fun seekers. All are catered for,
guided politely and willingly by our teams to choose the best holiday for them based on an icon recognition system. Exhibitors present their tour-ism offers in typical leisure time and holiday categories: destination holidays, active holidays, weekend breaks/ trips and traveller adventures all marked with different icons. So their journey round the Alpe−Adria fair is relaxed and rewarding.
Traditional Slovenian hospitality awaits you in Ljubljana where even in the depths of winter you will experience a warm welcome; and a successful show!

RAISE YOURPROFILE AT
ALPE−ADRIA SHOW!
the international prize awarded for excep-tional achievements in the field of tourism.
The name of the prize originates from one of the oldest forms of tourism, i.e. pilgrimage, a cultural form known to almost all religions.
The theme of the 2012 Jakob Prize is:Innovative tourism programmes in the field of alternative forms of leisure and relaxation.
Everything these days can be seen online; but just like a good vacation you have
to be there to benefit from the experience. Travellers and tourists love to visit Alpe−Adria to see, touch and feel what is on offer and next year we expect many more than the 16,000 who came in 2011.
