Alstom has won and executed one of the most efficient CCPP project with Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd (GSECL) for the engineering, supply, construction and commissioning of the Plant. It is the first Alstom GT26-based combined cycle power plant in India. This 370 MW plant is an extension of the existing combined cycle power plant located at Utran, Surat District,

Alstom has also won the contract to supply turbines, generators, digital governing system and main inlet valve to the largest hydro project of India, the 2000 MWSubansiri Lower Hydroelectric Power Plant, in the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

NTPC Alstom Power Service Limited (NASL) - 1999

This 50:50 joint venture of Alstom and National Thermal Power

Corporation(NTPC) undertakes renovation, modernisation, retrofit and

refurbishment of old and aging power plants. NASL gets full support from

Alstom Global Technology Centers located in Europe, USA and India

Infosys R&D Centre - 2005Alstom teamed up with Infosys, a global consulting and IT service firm, to

set up an R&D center at the Infosys campus in Bengaluru. Created on the

strength of a multi-year relationship, the R&D centre provides engineering

solutions that give Alstom acompetitive edge, thanks to rapid design and

deployment, thereby reducing time-to-market. These solutions, by using

new materials, increase the life span and efficiencyof mechanical

components, thus improving performance and cost effectiveness.

Alstom-BHEL tie-up - 2005Alstom and BHEL have entered into a 15-year technology transfer

agreement covering supercritical boilers. The tie-up between the two

companies on coal fired boilers using super critical technology will support

large capacity expansion of power generation in the country. This

agreement will provide the energy sector in India with the latest in clean

coal technologies.

Alstom and Bharat Forge Ltd (BFL) Joint Venture - 2009

The JV will manufacture 300-800 MW subcritical and supercritical

equipments with an annual capacity of 5000 MW. Alstom and Bharat

Forge have set up two JV companies – one for manufacturing of steam

turbine and generators and the other for manufacturing of all the

auxiliaries.
