ALTERNATIVE ROCK Alternative rock is a genre of rock music that emerged from the independent music underground of the 1980s and became widely popular by the 1990s.

THE MUSE• The muse Is the band which is closes to what I want

my band to look like. • They wear mostly black clothing and they don’t have

themselves on the front covers of their albums which is what I like.

• Most of the photos are black and white which is due to the atmosphere of the song. The photos are very highly contrasted which is a thing I really like.

• They are under the sub-genre of Alternative rock• Their locations are very different in each photograph.

They have some that are outside which makes me believe that I could have my band outside too just the photos would have to be very well edited and thought about the colours in the background.

NIRVANA

Nirvana is was an American alternative rock band. I like their style and the way they’re dressed. I am looking to do something like this with my bad. However my band is going to be wearing mostly black clothing for example black jeans and t-shirts with leather jackets.

I like the fact that this band has used a logo for their front cover and not themselves. They have 3 band members which Is what I am going for too.

COLDPLAYColdplay are a British rock band formed in 1996. Their rock sub-genre is Alternative rock which is the genre I have picked too.The band has 4 members. Their appearance is very similar to what I am going for. Their photos are mostly black and white this is because of the atmosphere of the songs. I like their album covers this is because they haven't been advertising themselves and they have been advertising the album.

LINKIN PARKLinkin Park is an American rock band formed in 1996. Their genre is alternative rock . They tend to have mostly black and white photographs and themselves on the front cover. They all wear mostly black clothing which is why I have chose my band to be wearing the same kind of clothing.

FOO FIGHTERS • Foo Fighters appereance is not exactly I

want my band to look like. However, I really like their album covers art work. I think it goes well with the Alternative rock genre.

ARCTIC MONKEYS• Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band

formed in 2002. The band is more Indie rock rather than Alternative but I like their appearance and art work for their album covers.

• Most of their stuff is black and white too. • They wear mostly black clothing but They are very well dressed
