Aalto University was formed when three

universities (art & design, technology and

business) were merged in 2010. SBC operates

with lifelong learning, continuing education,

development and research around

entrepreneurship with a focus on creative

industries

Creative Industries Finland (CIF) provides

information and services for creative industries

developers, policy-makers and key interest

groups. The aim of CIF is to strengthen the

understanding and role of the creative sector and

create a lively and an active network of creative

Vision 2015

- Entrepreneurship education is an inherent

part of the initial training of teachers

responsible for entrepreneurship education

- A model has been created for widening

teachers’ access to continuing education

and to secondments relating to

entrepreneurship education

- Learning environments that promote

networking are in place in teachers’ initial

and continuing education, using, for example

the possibilities of virtual learning

environments

CASE: YOUTH ACADEMY

Support for youth’s own projects, adult support,

education, materials and ideas.

- ”Self made” offers opportunities for youth to apply for

funding for their own projects

- ”Possibility” offers opportunities for Youth Academy

instructors to apply for funding for their youth teams

- ”Note” aims at furthering youth’s activities in schools and

educational institutions.

Case: HOPE PROJECT

- Trains vocational teachers in communcal

entrepreneurship training and methods

developed at Tiimiakatemia.

- Based on methods developed at

Tiimiakatemia is the Entrepreneurship Centre

of Excellence of the JAMK University of

Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä, Finland.

- Students run their own cooperative

businesses and once they have graduated,

they embark on a trip around the world with

the money made in their businesses during

their studies.

YVI PROJECT

- Virtual learning environment through which best

practices, materials and information on

entrepreneurship training are distributed

- Networking entrepreneurship educators
