The AMAES Library envisions itself to be a

globally recognized state-of-the-art library and

network system providing timely, efficient and user-

friendly data and information to library

users.

~MISSION~The AMAES Library supports

the research and instructional needs of AMAES

– its faculty, staff, students and other external clientele, by providing information and service through sufficient and

updated collection of both print and non-print materials

and resources as well as access to these via electronic means and interlibrary loans.

SECURITY CONTROL

Deposit baggages inside the LOCKERS..

Students should sign the statistics with their time in, full name, course & signature

every after break time.

Do not

RESHELVE the books.

Put it above the shelf or leave it

on the table.

1. Library of Congress Classification System – alphanumeric system

2. Accession Number– numerical order.

Narrative Report, Theses, Design Project and Feasibility Study

3. Alphabetically–arranged in alphabetical order. (Journals & magazines)

ACCESS

1. Online Public Access Catalog

(OPAC)- contains all details of the library

collections. - It can be accessed by visiting…

LIBRARY SECTION

1. CIRCULATION – supplemental reading materials (mostly foreign books; books related to BSIT, BSCS, BSIS & BSCOE, etc.)

2. RESERVE – Mostly textbooks & workbooks

3. FILIPINIANA

books about Philippines written by Filipino authors and published in the Philippines.

4. REFERENCE – dictionary, encyclopedia, almanac, etc.

5. PERIODICAL – newspapers, scholarly journals, magazines

6. RESEARCH WORKSDocuments submitted in support of candidature of an

academic degree presenting the author’s narration, research and findings.

7. INTERNET SECTION – computers with internet access are available for use.

8. IPAD SECTION – have access.

REMINDER:Sign in the users log at the front desk

indicating the full name, course, time in and out, computer unit number and signature.

The Computers and iPads are limited to one (1) hour per session, per person. Another 1 hour session is allowed to the same user unless another user is waiting for the computer.

ACADEMIC PURPOSES

ONLY.

VII. BORROWING & RETURNING

A. Borrowing privileges and Loan periodsCirculation & Filipiniana Books

Maximum of

~3 books~ may be taken out for overnight use & should be returned within

the next

~3 days.~

• Each book may be renewed if such library book not in demand.

• Books can only be renewed when presented to the Librarian for proper recording.

All books/textbooks labeled with

“INSIDE THE LIBRARY USE

ONLY” are strictly to be used

within the library premises only.

1. A book should be returned promptly on due date and time.

2. Upon returning the book materials, students should see to it that their library cards/COR are properly signed by the librarian who received the book(s).

3. Faculty/students should notify the library staff whenever borrowed library material is lost.

B. Returning of Books

A fine of

₱5.00 per day

will be charged for an overdue book.

C. Library Fines

Borrowers with overdue books will not be allowed to borrow unless all library accounts

are settled.

1. Lending of library card to another person.

2. Taking out any library material without the permission of the

Librarian.3. Tearing, writing on the pages of the

book, defacing or any form of vandalism.

4. Forging the signature of the librarian.

5. Discourtesy, misconduct or any misdemeanor towards the librarian.

E. SUSPENSION OF LIBRARY PRIVILEGES
