AMAF Dojo Students earn skills praise AUGUST 2013 Sparring classes boost grading performance Advanced Martial Arts and Fitness owner and trainer Mike Waite has praised Thai boxing students after grading earlier this month. “There were very high standards and skill levels displayed across all grading groups,” Mike said. “I am personally very excited and impressed by the commitment and hard work shown. “Congratulations to Baleigh McCafferty on a great performance in achieving Level Five (brown belt equivalent).” Many students had benefitted from attending Saturday morning (10am) sparring classes open to Thai boxing students, Level One and above, and Kali students, Phase Two and above. “We have had a great turn out of students wanting to increase their knowledge. Our specific sparring drills to create better skills sets and sharper defences has shown immediate benefit,” Mike said. All eligible students are encouraged to attend sparring classes. Mouthguards and protective equipment are essential.

Saturday Kali Classes Saturday Kali class, midday, is open to all Kali members and runs for 90 mins. This class is outside the set curriculum and aims to provide a greater understanding of the entire Kali training system.
