Welcome to my latest report on Carindale and Carina property. If you were to turn up at an Auction in Carindale or Carina at

the moment it would almost be a certainty that amongst the crowd of bidders and interested parties would be buyers who

have come from interstate and or overseas. With plenty of lifestyle centric reasons to love this part of the world and given

that we are one of the most attractive and affordable capital cities across the nation there is little wonder why this is the case.

Interestingly, new information out of the Foreign Investment Review Board shows that overseas buyer activity has almost

tripled since 2012/13 and the level of investment coming out of China now accounts for approximately 36% of all foreign lead

property purchases in Australia. If you have been considering a move and want to know how this might influence your sale or

purchase, then call me today, and let’s get you positioned as best possible.

As we start our climb towards the middle part of the year, it is interesting to see what changes have taken

place in the property market. Across Australia’s capital cities, and when compared to the same time last

year, house prices have continued to grow, albeit by smaller percentages than previously which suggests

that we have returned to a more modest paced market or cycle.

Year on year, Brisbane as a whole grew by 4.5% and remains one of Australia’s most stable and most

consistent market places in terms of capital growth. It is also unlikely that as a whole Brisbane will see

any significant swing or adjustment to this level throughout the remainder of 2016.

There are a number of factors that have resulted in Brisbane’s resilient trend since 2012, namely; consistent

population growth change with an average growth rate of 2.2% per annum over the last ten years, there

is generally less speculation based property investment and the market has consistently seen a level of

supply – or homes – coming to the market.

Amaya was committed to her Sellers in all dealings with me. As a buyer, I felt the negotiation was fluid

and rewarding for both parties. She was patient, offered compromise when suitable and was comfortable

saying “let me get back to you” and following through! Amaya is no ‘fly-by-nighter’ agent. Her dedication

is an asset to any sale process, good cycles or slow cycles.
