Course DescriptionThe 5th Annual AMC Pulmonary and Critical Care Symposium provides yearly state of the art updates concerning major clinical topics in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. The course faculty are regional, national, and international experts in these fields.

Target AudienceThis course is designed for pulmonologists, internist, primary care physicians, respiratory therapists, and nurses.

AttireBusiness casual or appropriate clinical attire. Since everyone has a different comfort level, we suggest that you dress in layers or bring a sweater or light jacket.

ObjectivesAfter participating in this program, participants should be able to:• Explain the typical manifestations of sarcoidosis in the most commonly involved organs.• Explain the rationale for updating the GOLD COPD guidelines.• List the current recommend therapy for both acute management and chronic management of pulmonary embolism.• List the various treatment options available for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.• Outline the various treatment options available to mobilize airway secretions.

DirectionsFrom the North: Take the Adirondack Northway/NY Rt. 87, South, to Exit 7/Rt. 7, east towards Troy/Cohoes. Follow Rt. 7 over Rt. 787, about 5 miles. At the bottom of the bridge, go straight through the light and proceed up the hill on Hoosick St. The Hilton Garden Inn - Troy will be three quarters of a mile up the hill on the left hand side.From the South: Take the NYS Thruway/ I-87 North towards Albany. Merge onto I-787 North, via Exit 23 towards Downtown Albany/ Rensselaer/Troy, for about 9 miles. Merge onto NY 7 via Exit 9E towards Troy/Bennington. Go East, up the hill, on Hoosick St., at the light at the bottom of the bridge. The Hilton Garden Inn - Troy will be three quarters of a mile up the hill, on the left hand side.
