Classical 101 Summer Showcase

If you needed a reminder of the wealth of arts and culture in our region, look no further than this season of Music in Mid Ohio. The 2019 broadcast season runs through October this year, showcasing highlights from some of the outstanding musical groups and presenting organizations in and around Columbus.

Each Sunday, host Christopher Purdy curates an hour of music featuring recent concert performances. This month, you’ll hear the Estonian Chamber Choir singing Tchaikovsky, the Rose Ensemble on their final concert tour, and Quartetto Gelato performing some sultry music – including a little Edith Piaf!

You’ll also be treated to performances by the McConnell Arts Center Chamber Orchestra, the New Albany Symphony and a complete performance of the Mozart Requiem with the combined choirs of Otterbein University and the Westerville Symphony.

Be listening every Sunday afternoon at 1pm for Music in Mid Ohio. Hear it on Classical 101 and 89.7 HD2, or listen online at wosu.org. You can also download the free WOSU Public Media App, connect your mobile device to your Bluetooth speakers and enjoy the sound!

Classical 101 can also be heard in Columbus on HD Radio 89.7-2 as well as streaming online at wosu.org and on WOSU’s mobile App.
