Our Understanding

Strategic Goals:

Define a Technology/Middleware integration Strategy and roadmap Develop recommendations for enhancing Amex’s Technology

Competency Center (TCC) organization and process to efficiently and cost-effectively implement and maintain the integration infrastructure

Define a financial model that can enable the usage of the integration infrastructure as a financially viable solution

Our UnderstandingMeet the following objectives:

Draft a plan that clearly demonstrates how to leverage a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based Technology vision to successfully implement future integration initiatives

Recommend an application integration solution that can provide a comprehensive and cost-effective middleware capability supporting end-to-end needs of all distributed and mainframe platforms

Recommend a standard-based web services provisioning, delivery and management solution to implement

Develop an “Appropriate Technology” approach which is simple and robust that meets Amex’s comprehensive integration requirements and reduces ongoing cost of application integration, maintenance and management

Provide recommendations for a enterprise application integration reference architecture that can enhance quality, reliability and robustness of the IT architecture and enable American Express to react quickly to demands of its customers.

Assess enterprise workflow requirements and recommend a workflow approach Provide processes and methodology to leverage standards-based and platform

independent integration technologies that are also platform independent Recommend enhancements to the existing Technology Competency Center (TCC)

organization and process that can help in building and developing the skills required to build, maintain and manage an efficient integration infrastructure
