SAM BISSONASSISTANT COACH,

BOZEMAN SPIKES

Coach Carosella’s passion for the game began when he was very young at the age of 4. Coach Carosella grew up in Corvallis, MT before moving to Manhattan in the summer of 2005. In 2007 he decided he wanted to play at a higher level of legion baseball, so he moved to Bozeman with his father. Although he would ultimately suffer a severe back injury later in the season, he contributed to many of the teams wins and helped them win the 2007 AA State Championship. In 2007, Coach Carosella, turned down a full academic scholarship to Gonzaga University to pursue his love of the game. Although, he could’ve walked on to the Gonzaga program, he wanted a for sure thing. Loran accepted a full athletic scholarship to Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad, CO. Due to his back injury, he was a medical redshirt his freshman year. After recovering from his injury, Loran’s debut year on the mound for TSJC, was a very successful one, and was ranked #4 in the Western U.S. for NJCAA Div. 1 pitchers. He was awarded with First Team All-Conference, and Second Team All-Region as a Freshman. Loran’s sophomore year was just as impressive as his freshman year. He was recruited by top Division 1 programs such as, Arizona State, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oregon State, and Texas. He decided he wanted to stay closer to home and his friends, so he accepted a scholarship to play at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.
