Between 1917 and 1919, 198 000 peoples and 4 400 tonnes of merchandises were unload in Saint-Nazaire. 30 000 American peoples lived with 35 000 peoples who lived in Saint-Nazaire. The Americans realized big works on the port and the city contrubated to the modernisation of the city for the futur years.

There was 3 800 000 American peoples mobilised and 68 000 dead peoples.

After the armistice was approuved, the french people had change there comportement and became more unbfriendly.The french people reproached to the American to be too fast in the modernity (ex : there car are too speed)
