PROJECT

Maximum specialise in the design and installation of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), ranging from small heating, cooling and ventilation systems up to VRV / VRF systems with heat recovery. They handle the design, manufacture and installation of all kinds of ducted air conditioning systems, meaning their operatives are in

potential contact with asbestos containing materials in the buildings they survey and install the equipment in.

In line with legislation, The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 – Legislation 10, Amiante STR delivered asbestos training awareness at their in-house training facilities.

PETE represents a process encompassing Health & Safety, risk assessment and project management. PETE assists in ensuring that all aspects of a project are managed safely.Below are a few of the PETE considerations taken into account on this project.

the risks to People, Environment, Tools and Exposure].

• The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 Legislation 10 also says asbestos awareness training should be given to workers in the refurbishment and maintenance & allied trades, where it is foreseeable that asbestos containing material may become exposed during their work. This includes (but is not limited to): demolition workers, construction workers, general maintenance staff, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, painters and decorators, joiners, shop fitters, plasterers, roofers, heating and ventilation engineers, telecommunication engineers, computer and data installers, fire and burglar alarm installers, architects & building surveyors.

the risks to our own staff of People, Environment, Tools and Exposure and not just the asbestos risk].

• All staff and asbestos removal specialists are trained to the correct standard to ensure they follow legislation & can perform their duties to the correct and safe standard.

• All business owners/ managers should ensure all staff who are likely to disturb the fabric of a building and expose themselves to asbestos should be suitably trained in asbestos awareness to prevent exposure. Likewise, anyone who supervises or influences the work should also have asbestos awareness training.
