Formative Assessments - Grade 1
Children displayed their understanding on
how people express their feelings by way
of different traditions. They wrote and
illustrated about the traditions followed
on Diwali.
Children demonstrated their confidence and understanding about the meaning
people assign to celebrations. They dressed in costumes and visited other classes
and spoke about various traditions and beliefs behind Halloween.

Formative Assessment - Grade 2
Students compared and presented two civilizations from a list-
Indus valley civilization, Egyptian civilization and Roman civilization, using
a Venn diagram.
Based on their understanding of the characteristics of a civilization, students
prepared a quiz. They framed the questions of the quiz individually and
collaborated on the possible answers.

Children identified the significant
events in stories of their choice and
arranged them in the sequence of
occurrence.
Students elaborated on the
response of the community to one
significant scientific invention. They made a timeline of important

explorations of three different
explorers (land, water and space)
focusing on the reasons, strategies

consequences of their exploration.

hats.
