AMS-Power is a Plant Construction & Industrial Fabrication Company that provides broad-based Mechanical,

Electrical, Instrumentation, & Civil services across the complete spectrum of industries. Our industry profile includes

Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Cement, Processing industry etc.

Here we present to you our company brochure that will provide you with an in-depth look at our capabilities,

accomplishments, and business philosophy.

One distinguishing feature of ours’ that all of our valued Clients have noted, and appreciated much in the past, is

the active personal involvement of company’s top management in the works under execution. For us this is as

much a policy matter as it is a strong company tradition that has never failed to make a positive impact on and

contribution to all of our projects.

We are now looking forward to international expansion, focusing especially on the Middle Eastern region. We come

Introduction



Company Profile

AMS-Power undertakes Fabrication & Construction Works for major projects in Power Generation Plants, Process and Petro-

Chemical, and related industries. Our services extend through the Mechanical, Electrical and Automation works, including High

& Low Speed Rotary Machines, Plant Piping, Pressure Vessels & Parts and Structural Steel Works, Pre-calibration and Field Tests

of the Plant Equipment and various systems. We also provide back-up supervision and skilled assistance for Commissioning as

well as for Maintenance Works of the Plants.

Past Background

The Chief Executive of the Company, Mr. Abdul Mun-im Shahid, started his career in 1962 with Associated Electrical Industries

Pakistan Ltd., a British Company in Pakistan, working directly on major Power Generation and various Industrial Plants. In 1969,

he joined hands with Bhangra Engineering Corporation a leading contractor in Bangladesh (the then East Pakistan), and

executed the completion of a large size Thermal Power Station at Ghorasal, Dacca, with his active contribution.

From 1972 onwards, the company continued to operate in Pakistan, renamed as Associated Engineering Concern (A.E.C.),

incorporated as a Private Limited Company in 1975; and the Chief Executive acquired contracts of major projects in

Mechanical, Electrical and Automation fields. The esteemed clients for which the projects were under-taken by A.E.C. included

WAPDA, KESC, Pakistan Steel, Pakarab Fertilizers Ltd., Fauji Fertilizers Corporation, State Cement Corporation, Pakland

Cement Ltd., ICI Polyester, Rupali Polyester, Pakistan Petroleum Ltd., Oil & Gas Development Corporation etc.

During this time, the company worked as the main Pakistani contractor for prominent multinationals in the construction

industry such as Wärtsilä, Deutsche Babcock Energie, Snamprogetti, Aquater, Kellog International, Foster Wheeler Energy

Ltd., Marubeni, CWEH China, Clough Engineering etc.



The Management

The Management of the Company has experience spread over 4 decades, having executed numerous large and medium size

projects for the Government and the Private sector in all types of industries. Our team is fully competent, up-to-date with the

latest technological advancements and sophisticated plants. In the industry, our team is known as one that consistently

upholds top quality of work in all projects executed. The Management is fully committed to maintain such essential pre-

requisites on the projects undertaken.

Engineering Staff & Other Technical Personnel

AMS-POWER has on its strength highly qualified and experienced team of engineers and other technical personnel. Our team

members have years of experience to their credit, having worked on major projects both in Pakistan and abroad.

Tools & Plants

The Company is fully equipped with all types of tools & plants, machinery & equipment to undertake the fabrication and

erection works. Furthermore, the calibration equipment and testing facilities help carry out the work up to required

workmanship standards.

ISO 9001:2008 Certification

The Company achieved the ISO 9001:2008 Certificate in December, 2003. The certification was issued by M/s. United Registrar

of Systems Ltd., U.K., (URS). Since then the Company has been maintaining the certification, and achieving even higher

standards of quality management and assurance for its customers.

Quality Control Program

In addition to specifying the internal procedures, checks & balances, and quality control documentation, the AMS-Power’s

Quality Control Program, at its very core, considers the following two basic conditions as obligatory and mandatory without any

reservation:

• All the requirements as laid down in JIS, API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, DIN STANDARDS and other International codes are

met strictly at all stages and aspects of the project.

• The standards / codes described under a specified contract of a project are strictly observed and implemented.

Nevertheless, the fulfillment of such requirements, under a standard / code, is

A Central Quality Control Management at the Head Office oversees the implementation of the Quality Control Program

throughout the company as well as at all the on-going projects. The Quality Control set-up at a specific project is directly

supervised by the Central Quality Control Management to ensure that our quality program is being followed to the letter.

The Quality Control Group at a project works independently of the construction group to ensure complete transparency in our

quality control procedures. We set very high expectations of this group. It is expected and required to discharge its

responsibility in a very well-defined manner with the goal of not letting any slip up in the work quality.
