3.6 Patterns. StandardpatternS,to be used for cuttingthe contractor’sworkingpatterns,will k furnishedby the GOvemmnt. The standardpatternsshallnot be alteredin any way and are to be used as a guidefor cuttingthecontractor’s workingpatterns. The working~tterns shallke identicaltothe standardpatterns. The patternsprovidea 3/8 inchseamallmance.

Autcmatedapparelequipent mybe used to perfoxnany of the operationsspecifiedin table11,providingthatthe seam and stitchtypeare as specifiedand the finishedcanponentconformsto the requiredconfiguration.When a governmentfurnishedShi3~patternis forwarded,the componentshallconformto thatpattern.

4. QUALITYASSURANCEPROVISIONS
