Here’s what I know to be true: Fear is a natural part of growth. We all experience fear when we’re in the process of leveling up and pursuing our next set of goals.

If you’re human, you experience fear. It can’t be avoided.

However, when your fears are unchecked, they can end up running (& sometimes ruining) your business, your client work & life. Especially when you have a business that is connected to your divine purpose.

Fears fester.They seep into your business & your life to sabotage you and keep you small, all thewhile disguised as “reasonable reasons”.

Interpreting Your Score:I don’t do cookie cutter formulas. When I take my clients through the sacred process of getting clear on your hidden fears and Sacred Archetypes, it’s a very individualized process where we get very clear on which combination of archetypes is most applicable to you, your personality, your divine purpose and your business.

Since I can’t hold your hand that closely through this online assessment, here’s my best advice: Most people are a combination of all the different archetypes, with a strong primary and sometimes a secondary. At different moments in your life and business, some will be more predominant than others.

That doesn’t mean that you don’t want to work on strengthening the archetypes from other categories, it just means that focusing primarily on your biggest fear will yield the biggest initial results.

Also – I trust your intuition much more than I trust this assessment (even though it’s a wonderful assessment!). So, as you read through the Sacred Archetypes, tap into your own wisdom on what resonates for you most.

When this fear is primary in your business and in your life, you are literally scared that anything you do or say will cause others to get upset at you, raise their voice at you, say “mean” things that will hurt you, lose their temper or leave you. While there is a part of you that understands that this fear may be irrational, another part of you believes it so deeply and so fully.

The internal dialogue that accompanies The Fear of Making Others Angry can sound like:

“She’ll quit if I tell her to re-do her work”

“He came 10 minutes late to his session, but he’ll never come back again if I don’t give him that extra 10 minutes past 11am”

The Fear of Making Others Angry

Expression, Obstacles & OriginsYour business decision, actions and relationships reflect this deep core fear. The fear controls your actions, even though you know better, and here are some things that likely result:

• You don’t set your rates high enough out of fear that others will get angry at them• You tend to over-give to your clients in a way that depletes you• You don’t set strong boundaries with clients, team members or partners and then

feel like you are being taken advantage of• You open up your schedule for clients to schedule whenever is convenient to them,

even though it might be a very inconvenient time for you• You hold on to draining, non-aligned clients much longer than you should out of

fear of hurting their feelings• You have trouble reflecting the truth to clients & workshop participants when it

requires you to point out their blindspots or weaknesses• You tend to take over-responsibility for clients and others• You’re scared of asking your spouse to come home early on Wednesdays to help

out with the kids• You choose less innovative and edgy exercises to present at retreats from fear that

participants will be triggered or unsatisfied• You go into fear when your clients show up with Resistance

People who carry this fear with them often had parents or authority figures who expressed their anger in not-so-healthy ways, running the gamut from being volatile to being abusive verbally or physically or somehow humiliating you. Sometimes, people who carry the fear of making others angry had parents or major authority figures who were so scared or embarrassed of their own anger that they suppressed it and taught you that it’s not healthy or proper or “lady-like” to express anger. No matter which end of the gamut your authority figures fell on, the core underlying message to you was to be scared of other people’s anger and to be scared of and reject your own anger, and to do whatever it takes to avoid anger at all costs.

In general, in society, we aren’t taught how to properly manage anger. We’re not taught that anger is a natural human emotion, and instead we’re taught in subtle or not so subtle ways to ignore anger or avoid anger.

The majority of examples in popular culture that deal with anger, illustrate it as a terrible, overwhelming emotion that ends up in killing, destroying and hurting. Now, of course – this is one possible expression of anger, but truly, it’s a last resort response to anger when it isn’t dealt with upfront and properly. But most people don’t fully realize that, and instead we come to fear anger. And the result is often that you try to over-accommodate others instead of making requests and setting boundaries, or you try to cover up your own anger at someone else by over-giving.

Your Hidden Sacred Leadership Archetype:

THE WARRIOR WOMANWhen the Fear of Making Others Angry is present in your life or business, the Secret Archetype Power you hold inside of you is the Warrior Woman.

The Warrior Woman is the one who knows how to set healthy boundaries. She is loving yet also firm – she knows that her time and energy and SELF are valuable, and she is willing to stand up for herself no matter what. She understands that her needs are just as important as everyone else’s. The Warrior Woman makes decisions based on what is aligned for herself and everyone else, without being swayed by fear of how others will react or respond to her. She is strong and she is not scared by her anger or anyone else’s. She asks for what she needs and is committed to getting her needs met with love and caring. Warrior Woman’s Highest Expression:

• You give fully from your heart without over-giving• You work only as many hours as you wish• You gracefully and lovingly reveal your clients’ blindspots and weaknesses• You ease-fully support clients to take responsibility for their results• You know exactly how to guide a client or workshop participant if they are acting

inappropriately • You confidently charge your worth without wavering when you name the price

Suggested Actions to Reach Your Highest Expression:

• Make a list of all the places with clients & others you are taking over-responsibility and then the boundaries you would like to institute in your business

• When facilitating groups, pay special attention to creating tight containers and knowing how to work with the Shadow (these are some of the skills I teach in the Master Ritual & Facilitation Training)

• Let go of any clients who you know in your heart don’t respect your boundaries• Create an ideal schedule and stick to it• Write an Angry letter to an individual that has crossed a boundary. Be as angry as

you can; use curse words if need be. Don’t send the letter, but use the writing as an outlet to release the anger.

• Anytime you notice you are resisting holding or honoring a boundary, write down: will not be alone if I set X boundary”

Lauren’s Warrior Woman Triumph StoryWhen Lauren first began the Sacred Depths Coach Training, her schedule was out of control. She was working 60 hour weeks, travelling all over NYC from client to client – scared to let her clients know that she wanted them to travel to her studio downtown, scared to keep to her 60 minutes pilates sessions (she would almost always end up giving 70 minutes or more), and scared to let clients know when they weren’t practicing enough on their own. She was exhausted, overwhelmed, and secretly pissed off at her clients. Together, we activated her Warrior Woman, and within a month, she had raised her rates, kept the boundary on 60-minute sessions, moved all her clients to one location, and supported clients in getting MUCH better results by holding them accountable to their home practice. This opened up time for her to take on more clients. Her Warrior Woman helped her increase her income by 50% and create more personal time for herself.

When the Fear of Being a Fraud is primary in your business and in your life, you live in fear that you’re not good enough, that clients might think you’re good now but if they find out what you’re really about you’ll be caught. You are in constant anxiety that you’re not smart enough, insightful enough, skilled enough, trying to do something you’re not meant to do. Even if you’ve reached a high level of success, this fear can completely control you and have you feel like a total beginner.

The internal dialogue that accompanies the Fear of Being a Fraud can sound like:

“If they sign up to work with me, they’ll find out I have no idea what I’m doing.”

“I need to get another certification before I can offer that program.”

“How can I teach someone how to eat more healthfully if I still have 5 extra pounds on me?”

“What if I ask the wrong questions or make the wrong reflections?”

“I’m not good enough”

The Fear of Being a Fraud

Expression, Obstacles & OriginsYour business & coaching decisions, actions and relationships reflect this deep core fear. The fear controls your actions with clients, workshops participants and others, even though you know better, and here are some things that likely result:

• You don’t do as much outreach to potential clients as you would like to• You tend to say no to invitations to speak or be seen….or worse, you say yes and

then sabotage yourself somehow• You either over-prepare or under-prepare for workshops, retreats or coaching sessions• Your marketing doesn’t fully reflect who you are and what your brilliance is• You feel you have to copy others in order to be accepted• You under-charge• You don’t show up fully present for your sessions, workshops or enrollment

conversations• You walk around with a lot of anxiety around whether or not you’ll be able to help

your clients• Even though you tend to have loyal clients, you’re always in fear that your business

will fall apart• You get nervous with clients or workshop members that show up as “The Judge” or

the “Know it All” Resistance Archetypes

The Fear of Being a Fraud is directly related to not fully owning your brilliance and not being proud of who you are at your most authentic core. People who carry the Fear of Being a Fraud often say that they have spent so much energy trying to be like others or trying to cover up their “fraud”ness that they have completely veiled their truest self. This often originated from having a parent or authority figure who was highly successful themselves, or was never quite satisfied with who you were or who was very critical of you.

The Fear of Being a Fraud is also directly related to having a lot of shame – around your talents, your body, your personality or your origins. When you feel shame, it is very difficult to feel authentic, worthy and valuable. In this way, that Fear of Being a Fraud can sometimes be linked to the Fear of Being Seen which is the fear of literally being hurt or damaged because of who you are. A lot of folks with cultural backgrounds of persecution or Holocausts – Armenians, Jews, Women – walk around with the Fear of Being a Fraud because of this.

Your Hidden Sacred Leadership Archetype:

THE QUEENWhen the Fear of Being a Fraud is present in your life or business, the Secret Archetype Power you hold inside of you is the Queen.

The Queen is the one who is fully comfortable in her own skin, owns her brilliances, skills and accomplishments and fully owns her value. She is experienced, has been around the block, and knows how deep her wisdom runs. She knows she is beautiful – no matter what she looks like. She doesn’t need to impress anyone else or put on a show – she radiates wisdom, and experience. The Queen is the part of you who is regal and sophisticated. She loves being in the spotlight – not because she is greedy or ego driven – but because she knows deeply that she has a sacred gift to share with the world and is fully prepared to share that gift with grace and ease.

The Queen’s Highest Expression:

• Completely comfortable in your own skin • All of your client sessions, retreats and marketing reflect your most authentic self

and brilliance: you’re not copying anyone else or trying to be anyone else• You allow your intuition and natural wisdom to flow through all your client

interactions• You don’t worry about being “wrong” in your client interactions because you know

that even if you make a mistake, you are still worthy, very capable, and great at what you do

• You charge rates that are fully aligned for you and reflect your value• You are fully yourself, authentic and in your power in sessions, workshops and sales

conversations

Suggested Actions to Reach Your Highest Expression:

• Make a list of all your brilliances and top results you help clients with – use this in your marketing, speaking, and enrollment conversations

• Read and re-read your client testimonials, and really take in - on a cellular level – the impact of your work

Andrea’s Queen Triumph StoryAndrea is an accomplished health coach, but when we first started working together, she was in constant fear that anyone prospects she connected with would think she was a quack, and reject her for not being knowledgeable or credentialed enough as a doctor. It was holding her back from being fully visible in her business, from expanding her community and platform, from charging her worth, and from really going as deep as she wanted to with her clients. As we worked to activate Andrea’s Queen, she became more and more outspoken on natural remedies, easily attracted frequent speaking engagements, and attracted in more clients than she ever had before. When the Fear of Surpassing Loved Ones is present in your life and business, you walk around with the conscious – or not so conscious – belief that if you succeed you will be hurting those you love. When this fear is in control, it can literally feel like certain loved ones might leave you, reject you, or even die if you were to become happier, richer, healthier or more successful than them.

The internal dialogue that accompanies the Fear of Surpassing a Loved one can sound like:

“If I am fully healthy & happy, my parents won’t be able to relate to me anymore.”

“If my business provides abundance for me, my sister or clients will become jealous.”

“If my work becomes highly visible, I won’t fit in to the family code of victimhood andrejection anymore. I’ll be all alone.”

“If I am joyful, my sick mother will feel I’ve disconnected from her, and she’ll have nothing left to live for.”

The Fear of Surpassing Loved Ones

Expression, Obstacles & OriginsYour business decisions, actions and relationships reflect this deep core fear. The fear controls your actions, even though you know better, and here are some things that likely result:

• You keep the lid on your business and don’t really allow yourself to fill your practice• You somehow can’t seem to surpass your mother’s or father’s highest income figure• You carry the same or similar physical illness as a loved one• You carry the same or similar major anxiety or block as a loved one• You have an intuitive sense that you are too attached to your clients’ success or

failure• You become excessively upset if clients experience a big loss or bad news• You have trouble helping clients see and embrace their wins and forward movement• You find yourself sabotaging big moments and opportunities in your business–

speaking engagements, enrollment and sales conversations, major marketing moments

• You know in your heart that you are keeping yourself small• When wins or successes happen, you find yourself hiding it from loved ones or clients

The Fear of Surpassing Loved Ones almost always involves a family member or close ally who has fallen into Victim mentality. This Loved One is prone to inducing guilt in you and wanting you to join him or her in their victimhood and pity party. Perhaps this loved one has become ill or lost their job at the exact moment that something wonderful happened in your life. This loved one also requires intense loyalty from you. It can almost feel as if you will be breaking and betraying a sacred family code if you become happy, healthy or successful.

You tend to have two personas: a “public” and “private” one. Your private personality is known by your family and is often more downtrodden and negative, whereas your public personality is luminescent and positive and actually much more authentic to who you really are.

The Fear of Surpassing Loved Ones is one of the trickiest fears work with: to break through it you must learn that LOVING someone doesn’t mean you’re sentenced to have a similar life to them. You must also learn that just because you LOVE someone doesn’t mean your relationship can only be based on mutual misery or failure.

Your Hidden Sacred Leadership Archetype:

THE PRIESTESSWhen the Fear of Surpassing a Loved One is present in your life or business, the Secret Archetype Power you hold inside of you is the Priestess.

The Priestess is the one who knows her instructions for living and her sacred goal and purpose in life are dictated by Spirit (God, Goddess, Buddha, Higher Power, Inner Wisdom – use whatever language resonates for you here), and NOT by family or loved ones. She is well known for practicing sacred rituals that elevate herself and others.

The Priestess loves herself and others; she has deep connections, relationships and friendships yet, she is also a Whole Woman Unto Herself – she recognizes that even with deep connection to others, there is no true thing as “needing” someone else to be anything, do anything or play a certain role in one’s life. Her loyalty is based on love, mutual respect and an ability to see the highest potential in others. Her loyalty is NOT about drowning with others. She understands fully that her life force is fueled by Spirit, and that the life force of those she loves isn’t fueled by her or her actions or non-actions, but also by Spirit. This is how the Priestess is so effective at leading others and making magic and transformation happen.

The Priestess’s Highest Expression:

• You are seen as a thought leader in your industry• You are seen as a leader in your family and community• You are excited about life & business and future possibilities• You are well-prepared for major marketing moments• You easily accomplish the goals that you set for yourself • You set goals that are aligned with who you are• When you surpass family records, you see this as an act of healing not just for

yourself, but for your entire family and ancestral line

Suggested Actions to Reach Your Highest Expression:

• Keep a journal of your business goals and watch out for any places where you are keeping yourself small

• Make a list of the top 3 places in your business, coaching sessions or workshops that you’ve been sabotaging yourself, and create an action plan to turn each one around

• Bring Ritual into your daily life, your clients sessions or your retreats• Visualize your clients or loved ones and watch their happy faces as you give their

burdens back to them, letting them know that they can choose to put them down as you are

Sara’s Priestess Triumph StorySara’s father was an alcoholic and her mother died young of many health complications. When Sara – a healer - and I first started coaching together, it was clear that her work was so powerful, but she could never fully get it moving because she struggled with her own health problems (as a result of being overweight), and would stop herself from getting to the next level in her business everytime things began to move for her. Once we identified that her deepest core fear was the fear of surpassing loved ones, Sara was able to see how she continuously held herself back out of fear that she’d become disconnected from her family if she were to thrive and succeed. That awareness helped Sara access her Priestess – resulting in losing weight, feeling much more energized and alive, and allowing herself to be seen fully for the amazing work she was doing.

When the Fear of Disconnecting from Self is present in your life and business, you hold yourself back from creating the abundance and business success (or romantic life or healthy body, etc.) that you really want because you are convinced that if you were to achieve the success you want, you’d “become another person” – i.e., you won’t be soulful anymore, you won’t be authentic anymore, and you’ll lose the essence of who you really are. When this fear is in control, it’s almost as if you believe you’ll become a flattened, heart-less version of yourself if you were to create what you want and be happy.

The internal dialogue that accompanies the Fear of Disconnecting from Self one can sound like:

“If I were to become rich, I wouldn’t be down-to-earth anymore.”

“People that are famous don’t really care about their clients. They don’t have the right priorities or values.”

“You’re either creative or you’re rich. You can’t be both.”

“My work is too spiritual to have a high price tag.”

Expression, Obstacles & OriginsAs a result, your business decisions, actions and relationships reflect this deep core fear. The fear controls your actions, even though you know better, and here are some things that likely result:

• You resist doing much marketing (or any marketing all), citing that it is inauthentic and not a spiritual activity

• You insist on giving a sliding scale option, no matter what• You hold a lot of judgment towards others in your field who are succeeding• You judge your clients for wanting to go big, take big leaps or spend time on

The Fear of Disconnecting from Self often comes with lots of self-righteous feelings.It is associated with a deep commitment to things staying the same as they’ve always been or to not “becoming an adult” (think: Peter Pan syndrome). It is also often associated with a deep distrust of institutions, business, commercialism, popular culture or cultural norms.

If you hold this fear inside of you, you are probably highly creative and really value alone time, introspection, personal development. It is likely that while you were growing up, you dealt with highly judgmental parental figures who perhaps found you too “out of the box”, and you found sanctuary by connecting inwards spiritually or artistically. Alternatively, if you hold the Fear of Disconnecting from Self, your may also come from a family, culture, race, sexual orientation, political philosophy or religion that is marginalized: You are very proud of your identity and are also very vigilante against that identity taking a backseat in your life.

The Artist is the one who is always connected in to herself and her creative passion. She has a rich inner life. Julie’s Artist Triumph StoryWhen Julie - a massage therapist – and I first met, she was charging close to minimum wage for her massages. She had a small group of clients, but wasn’t earning enough from her massage business to support herself. She was in judgement of others for charging more. As we unraveled Julie’s fear of disconnecting from herself, what we found at the core is that her deep desire to stay true to her Artist roots (she was also a painter in her own right) was preventing her from fulling stepping into being an empowered business owner.
