ANALYSIS OF ARTICLES- DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD 1 NME MISE EN SCENE - created by graffiti wall background as it gives a hip hop stereotypical look. MAIN IMAGE – the double page spread is dominated the main image. The picture relates to the main one on the front cover, however it is slightly different as this creates variety. BYLINE – the byline tells us who made the article. This gives them credit and also helps advertise them and their work. STAND FIRST – the stand first is just underneath the main heading. It summarises and introduces us to the main article. MAIN HEADING – the main heading is a play on words with the word ‘tag’. The heading also takes up a lot of the main page which lets the reader know it is the main article. TEXT – the main parts of the text is about the image and Dizzee Rascal. It is separated into 4 short columns. This makes the article easy to CAPTION – the caption states that the article is about Dizzee. This is useful as the readers may not have recognised him at first so the caption gives that information. DROPS CAP – the large bold letter stands out from the rest of the article which allows the reader to know where the article starts. NME/PAGE NUMBER/DATE – this information allows the reader to tell which issue this magazine is. PROPS – the empty beer bottles and stereo gives the whole article an old school feel which relates to the artist.

MAIN HEADING – the main heading features one of the artists well-known songs. This relates to her and the audience are more likely to recognise her from her music.
