The text Is on a yellow background to make it stand out and grab the readers attention because the colour yellow contrasts with the blue background.

The band members in the main image use direct address to grab the readers attention. The band member shouting is to make him stand out this suggests that he's the main source of the article and most likely the lead singer.

The text is positioned in the bottom right of the page to encourage the reader to turn the page and read more.

Overall there isn't much text on the double page spread this Is because its easy for the reader to consume all of the text on the page and not to be overwhelmed. This is so the consumer starts to read it and gets hooked so on later pages they can have more text since the consumer is interested in the magazine.

Anchorage text is used throughout the page to show that most of the text links with the band in the main image.

The band as a whole are wearing your everyday clothing so the reader will still feel like they can identify with them but they still look quite smart so they look like a professional band and haven't just turned up to a photo shoot wearing whatever they want. This would appeal to more mainstream fans of pop music who's used to seeing their favorite band present formally and stylish.

The masthead is taken from the Christmas carol “ We three kings” and has been changed to fit with the band because the band has four members. It helps anybody who isn't a fan of Kings of Leon link the masthead and the main image together. This has been done to fit with the theme of the magazine which is Christmas.

This double page is aimed at people who are fans of Kings of Leon or know about them because the anchorage text for the main image is quite small so if you where flicking through you wouldn’t know that the band on the image is Kings of Leon if you hadn't knew already.

The band member at the front suggests that he’s the main source of the article with him being at the front of the image and having a breakout quote.

Majority of the band members are using direct address to grab the readers attention.

The main block of text is positioned on the right to encourage the consumer to turn the page and read more of the magazine.

Kings of Leon band members are wearing very fashionable clothing to appeal to a more mainstream audience and people wouldn't’t be ashamed have this up on their wall and let someone look through the magazine. This because as group they look professional and are good looking which will appeal to people who think there attractive.

The masthead takes up most of the page so if you where flicking through the magazine it will grab your attention by the use of colours and the size of it. The masthead uses anchorage text so that you know that the band in the image is Fall Out Boy. The colour of the background of the masthead is yellow so it contrasts with the rest of the page to make it stand out more.

The text uses a red background to make it stand out more and uses a different font to distinguish it as a separate lot of text.

The main block of text on the magazine is tiny so you wouldn’t be able to read it at a distance because the masthead is there to grab the readers attention and make them want to read more. Overall there isn’t much text on the double page this is because the double page spread is there to grab the readers attention and intrigue them so they will want to read more and will carry on reading the rest of the article on the following pages. The text is on the far right of the page to encourage the reader to turn the page and carry on reading the article.

The double page is quite well balanced and isn't overflown with information this makes it easy for reader to consume all of the information on the page.

The band is using direct address to grab the readers attention and anyone who is a fan of Fall Out Boy to get them to read the rest of the page.

Most of the band are wearing very ordinary clothes to make them look like everyday people so the reader will think that they could be them. Although the main singer is wearing a shirt with a jacket to make him look attractive and stylish to appeal to anybody that finds him attractive. This is very different look/image that there trying to give off compared to there older imager where they were seen as rebellious and didn't’t care about anything. Now they’ve got to the stage that parents would be happy for their children to listen to them.
