Describing itself as “Your ORIGINAL priceless weekly newspaper” acts as a way of appealing to its audience, making it feel as though it is a part of the community. Novelty piece. Could be considered somewhat irrelevant yet allows the newspaper to fulfil its role of informing people of events within their community. Almost half of the front page is taken up by advertisements. This benefits local businesses as well as the paper itself, which probably relies on these ads for revenue due to the paper being free. Colourful advertisement, differing from traditional newspaper black and white. Attracts an audience’s attention by standing out. The layout appears to be very messy, with a clear lack of a house style.
