WEB COMPONENT

Installation of WebComponents

At the first access to Analytics, the user will be required to install on the PC the WebComponents necessary for the use of the InfoBusiness report. After selecting an analysis layout for the creation of a new report , or after trying to open an already available report, the WebComponents download window is displayed. Alternatively, it is also possible to download the executable file from the Utility - Tools menu item (please see the dedicated paragraph). The user has to select the correct setup according to the operating system. The installation is guided and it requires a few seconds. At the end of the installation it is possible to create/open a report. The installation of WebComponents is required only once, after the update/installation of a new version of Analytics that integrates a new version of WebComponents (specified in the Summary of Changes). Note: if the user does not have the rights of installation on the PC, s/he should contact the technical office.

Silent installation

In order to remotely launch the Webcomponents installation (32 or 64 bit), the following commands are available: [name_setup] /S /P64=0 -> silent installation 32 bit; [name_setup] /S /P64=1 -> silent installation 64 bit; where: /S silent installation with the operating system version.

/DIR=C:\directory indicate the installation path if different from the default, do not put the path between double quotes if there are also spaces; if omitted, the installation will be performed by default in the Programs folder of the operating system. The “webcomponents_win.exe” setup can be downloaded from the Tools – Webapp – Download webcomponent menu item.

New features

New OLAP features usable on the Analytics report data were released.

FilterFact feature

Performs the extraction of a value of a fact when the dimension code undertakes one of the values from the list. It returns the fact value if the specified conditions are true, otherwise it returns zero. The conditions must be closed between the following symbols: “<*” e “*>” and separated by comma. It is possible to specify the conditions using the following operators: =, <>, >=, <=, in, not in. Example: <*condition 1, condition n *> The dimensions mentioned in the second parameter must be present in the display otherwise the returned value is "Not defined”. The function runs on an OLAP context: is recalculated based on the value of the current cell. Usage example: Sumleaf( FilterFact( [Headcount(End of Month)], <* [Gen. Qualification] in ('030','040') , [Employment Class] ='00' *>)) It returns the [Headcount(End of Month)] value on the lines in which the dimension code [Gen. Qualification] undertakes one of the values between '030','040' and the dimension code [Employment Class] is equal to '00'. If at least of the conditions is not respected, the formula returns the zero value.

Switch feature

It evaluates a list of conditions and returns the value indicated for each verified condition. If none of the conditions is true it returns the output value. The function runs on an OLAP context: it is recalculated based on the value of the current cell. Use structure: Sumleaf(

Switch( Condition 1, Result 1, Condition 2, Result 2, Condition …, Result …,

Result if False) ) It is possible to specify a list of conditions Use example: Sumleaf(

Switch( DimensionValue([Gen. Qualification], 'string') = '030', [Headcount(End of Month)], DimensionValue([Gen. Qualification], 'string') = '020', [Headcount(End of Month)],

VQR User Profiling

A new mode of profiling the users by means of the VQR was released.

Analytics | Summary of changes

Version 03.01.00 Release date 12/15/2017 Pag. 8/14

It is possible to obtain a customized profiling of the users by means of a VQR, which provides for each user the list of subjects/employees to be displayed. The VQR will provide for each user to be profiled of the list of Subjects or employments, which the user can view. In this way, the definition of the visibility cone is assigned to the VQR writing and it is completely customizable. In order to activate the VQR profiling, it is necessary to set the profiling on the safety group. The automatic profiling will be available after the HR Connector alignment (launch IDRUN USR in order to manually align the profiling). Access the User profiling by groups menu item and select the group to profile (the Manager groups cannot be profiled: they always have visibility on the all data in the system). Complete the configuration in the appropriate page. In order to enable the profiling, the Profile flag must be selected.

Options provided within the configuration page (always specify the option, do not let it empty):

Assign Mart

Do not assign: The marts will not be automatically assigned to the users, you will have to proceed manually to the association in InfoAdmin.

Application visibility: The marts will be associated to the users based on the visibilities of the applications that they have by accessing the HR Portal.

Assign all Marts: All the marts configured in InfoAdmin are associated to the group users. Assign Filter

Filter from VQR Assign User Folders

No folder: it prevents the creation and the assignment of private folder for the single user belonging to the group.

Assign folders: a private and writable folder is created and assigned to all the employees of the group (default behaviour).

Analytics | Summary of changes

Version 03.01.00 Release date 12/15/2017 Pag. 9/14

Assign Public Folder

No folder: it prevents the assignment of the PUBLIC folder to the users of the group.

Assign folder: it assigns the access point of PUBLIC read-only to all the users of the group (default behaviour).

It is possible to schedule the VQR or the VQRs through the dedicated “VQR profile settings” menu item. The users to be profiled, indicated in the VQR, must be added to the security group to be profiled through VQR. The users available in the VQR, but not in the security group, will not be profiled and will not have access to Analytics. The users available in the security group, but not in the VQR, will not have access to the data.

VQR User Profiling configuration

It allows scheduling one or more VQRs to be used for defining the cones of visibility for the VQR profile, enabled in “User profile by groups”. Two types of VQRs can be defined: VQR by Subjects or VQR by Employments. The VQR for the import of data by Subjects must contain the following fields: user, environment_code, company_subject_code, subject_code. Indicate the list of subjects, which the user must be able to view, for each user to be profiled. The VQR for the import of data by Employments must contain the following fields: user, environment_code, company_code, employee_code. Indicate the list of employees, which the user must be able to view, for each user to be profiled. In order to schedule a new VQR, fill in the “New” section (to be expanded by clicking): VQR name: Add the name of the VQR to be used. The VQR must be found in the Analytics webapp, in the WEB-INF\classes\query path. Add the full name of the query, without “.vqr”. Employments/Subjects: Select the VQR type. Press the “Perform now” button for performing the data import from the VQR. Press the “Add schedule” button for scheduling the data import from the VQR. The active VQR schedulings are displayed in the grid. Press “Perform” in order to perform a scheduled VQR. Press “Delete” in order to delete a VQR scheduling and all the data imported from it. If a VQR is removed, the filters on the users who were profiled through VQR will be removed as well.

HRM custom data

ETL - Table configuration - HRM custom data: Configuration of the custom data export of the Human Resources application. The page allows selecting up to ten HRM custom data for each category to be exported in the Data Warehouse. The page will be prefilled with the custom data used in the Analytics reports. The page is divided into four sections, one for each type of data: String, Tabular, Date and Numerical.

Analytics | Summary of changes

Version 03.01.00 Release date 12/15/2017 Pag. 10/14

The user can select the custom data to be exported through the magnifying glass icon. The Zoom allows selecting the data of the category among those available in the hvba_descustdata table of the environment the user logged into; in order to display the data added in the same table of another environment, edit the environment from the portal and reopen the Zoom. The following fields are available for each Custom Dimension:

Environment: it defines the environment to which the data is associated.
