• Originally from days of Julius Caser and Roman Empire– Germanic tribes that would later be dominated by

Roman empire• Holy Roman Empire- split into several regions

each having a set of kings that would war against each other-through history would share similarities and differences-Austria/Prussia were part of this Kingdom orginally
