It is very happy to state that Director of Municipal Administration Shri K.
Kanna babu, IAS Garu visited our Municipal Corporation and conducted field
visit along with our beloved Mayor M.Swaroopa Garu, Commissioner C. Obulesu
Garu, RDMA Sri B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Engineering staff.
It also gave immense pleasure to state that our AMC has got sanctioned
projects with an estimated cost Rs. 14.75 crores under AMRUT for the period
2016-2017, covering water supply with Rs. 3 crores, Sewage treatment plant Rs.
5.25 crores etc..,
As a part of action plan to increase green cover in the town, development
of Buddavihar Park is taken up under AMRUT 2015-16 funds with an estimated
cost of Rs.50.00 Lakhs. Foundation stone was laid by Hon’ble MLA V. Prabhakar
Chowdary Garu, Smt.Swaroopa Garu, Hon'ble Mayor and Commissioner C.
Obulesu Garu at Adarsh Nagar.
Our beloved Mayor Smt.M. Swaroopa and V. Prabhakar Chowdary garu,
Hon’ble MLA, have Opened the Mineral water Plant at RTO Office to Provide
Mineral Water to the public.
An awareness program has been conducted in AMC chaired by Hon’ble
MLA, Mayor and Commissioner on 'Chandranna Bhima Pathakam' for the
working people in order to make people to avail benefits of this scheme.
In continuation with replacement of conventional street lighting system
with LED lights, Mini Hymass light are also had placed in the City.

AMRUT Scheme
AMC has got sanctioned projects with an estimated cost Rs. 14.75 crores under AMRUT for the
period 2016-2017, covering water supply with Rs. 3 crores, Sewage treatment plant Rs. 5.25 crores
etc.., the details of funds sanctioned is shown in below table
Buddavihar park Inauguration
As a part of action plan to increase green cover in the town, development of Buddavihar
Park is taken up under AMRUT 2015-16 funds with an estimated cost of Rs.50.00 Lakhs.
Foundation stone was laid by Hon’ble MLA V. Prabhakar Chowdary Garu, Smt.Swaroopa Garu,
Hon'ble Mayor and Commissioner C. Obulesu Garu at Adarsh Nagar. Tenders are called up and
work is under progress and expected to complete by the end of 2016.
NTR Bharosa Pension scheme
Hon’ble MLA and Mayor along with Municipal
Commissioner inspected pension distributions in
the town by interacting directly with beneficiaries
to provide better services. Pensions were released
to the total of 20601 beneficiaries in the month of
June, out of which 18981 were disbursed.

Andhra Pradesh Hon’ble Chief Minister Chandrababu
Naidu Garu has launched an insurance scheme named
'Chandranna Bhima Pathakam' for the working people. In
order to make people to avail benefits of this scheme,
awareness program has been conducted in AMC chaired by
Hon’ble MLA, Mayor and Commissioner.According to the
scheme, 1.50 crore workers in the state would be covered by
the state government welfare services. Rs 5 lakh would be
paid if the insured worker met with an accidental death, Rs 5
lakh in case of permanent disability and Rs 3 lakh for partial
disability, according to the nature of the schemes.

Current Activities
DMA Visit
Director of Municipal Administration Shri K. Kanna babu, IAS Garu visited our Municipal
Corporation and conducted field visit along with our beloved Mayor M.Swaroopa Garu,
Commissioner C. Obulesu Garu, RDMA Sri B. Vijaya Lakshmi, Engineering staff and discussed on
Desilting of Drains and instructed Sanitary staff to effectively concentrate and speed up the silt
removal works to create hygenic environment in the city.
Opening of Mineral water Plant
With an aim to provide potable drinking water to our
commuters at RTO office, mineral water plant is launched
by Hon’ble MLA V. Prabhakar Chowdary Garu. The
treatment plant has capacity of 500 litres Per hour.

Community Hall Bhoomi Puja
The Bhoomi-Puja festivities for Construction of Community Hall for the Welfare of Womens had
taken place at Adarsh Nagar.MLA, The Mayor, Municipal Commissioner and other forum members spoke at
the occassion.The underlying theme was that this was a good model for carrying out future projects in the city
and all the speakers emphasised the need to get communities involved right from the start.

Review Meetings
Meeting was held with Municipal
Engineering staff of the ULB regarding water
supply issues and speeding up of contract works
in the city.
Meeting was held with town planning
section and builders of the corporation on
the subject of making RWH structures
mandatory in all newly constructing
buildings.
Orientation programme has been organised for revenue staff of the ULB regarding
AADHAAR seeding process. Commisioner C. Obulesu Garu has trained the staff on the subject of
linking property tax records with unique identification authority of India (UIDIAI).
