Design is a major component of outreach, but few organizations recognize the urgency of having good design, along with its sister, good content. We offer basic ways to approach design so that you can work with designers constructively, by using apps as our entry point. This poster was presented at the Astronomical Society of the Pacific Connecting People to Science 2011 conference in Baltimore.
