hat we do?Casa Pacifica's Short Term

Adolescent Residential Treatment(START) and Intensive OutpatientProgram are tailored to meet the needsof each individual youth, ages 9 through17. Upon entry into the program, youthundergo a complete psychologicalevaluation that will inform treatmentgoals and discharge planning. A typicalday includes academic support in themorning and multiple therapy groupsbased on dialectical behavior therapy inthe afternoon. Our education departmentwill work with a youth’s home school toobtain classwork and ensure creditrecovery. Participation in the Matrix

W Recovery Program is required for youthwith substance use challenges. Individualtherapy with the youth's primary clinicianis scheduled 3-4 times per week and withthe psychiatrist weekly. Family therapy isprovided weekly in person or via telephoneor video conferencing and is an essentialcomponent of treatment. Family educationand skills groups assist parents in helpingtheir youth succeed and provide supportfor a challenging time in their lives. Eachweek, parents and youth meet with theirchild’s treatment team to recognizesuccess and identify new goals forprogram completion.
