NO.KV/S I of 2020 NIN{C 19 020 19 / 7 618 -7 62 l/P : -WHEREAS the Govemment of Gujarat, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Guj arat Provincial Municipal Corporations Ac| 1949 (Bom. LIX of 1949) under Government Notification, Panchayat and Health Department dated the l" April, 1966 had constituted the city ofVadodara; AND WHEAREAS having regard to the population of the areas, the density of the population therein, the revenue generated for local administration, the percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities and the economic importance of the areas, it is considered necessary to include certain areas in the existing local limits of the Municipal Corporation of the Cify of Vadodara; NOW, TBREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (2) of article 243Q of the Constitution of India, the Govemment of Guj arat hereby specifies the areas of the following Gram Panchayats as specified in the Schedule to be the larger urban areas and includes such larger urban areas which shall form the part of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Vadodara. The Government land situated within the areas of the Gram Panchayats and revenue villages as specified in the Schedule shall not vest in the Municipal Comoration olthe Citv of Vadodara.
