The Open Handset Alliance (OHA) is a consortium/association of 84 firms to

develop open standards for mobile devices.

Member firms include the following:Android is an operating

system designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices

such as smartphones and tablet computers, developed

by Google in conjunction with the Open Handset

Alliance.
